Pacquiao-Barrera Fight Poll
In just a few days the Philippines will be united as General Santos native Manny Pacquiao faces off against Mexican Marco Barrera. This maybe Pacquiao’s most important battle yet as almost everyone in the entire world is watching how he’ll fare against Barrera after being constantly plauged with distractions. Everyone still remembers Pacman’s botched attempt at politics when he got knocked out by Darlene Custodio in the recent May elections. Other than that, there’s also Pacman’s sudden decision to change his training camp from the US to here in Cebu. This move even caught Freddie Roach by surprise.
Pacman lands a solid punch against Morales
Personally, I’m worried for Pacman because it really looks like that he’s distracted and not 100% focused on training. More thoughts after the jump.
Pacman’s stint in politics already cost him a lot, but now he’s also going to try his hand in Television. He recently signed up with GMA 7 as a talent. Imagine how many things he has to attend to these days. I’ve been seeing him on various TV shows and this is a testament to the fact that he’s not focused entirely and solely on his training.
Marco Barrera, on the other hand, literally lived the life of a hermit in his training for this fight. He holed up in Mexico and did nothing but train, train, and train. Based from the media reports and the rumors, it looks like Barrera will have the upper hand when the two boxers finally clash. Unlike Pacman, he doesn’t have any TV show guestings and committments to keep.
I want Manny Pacquiao to win, and at this point I can only support him by doing what the rest of the millions of Pacman fans can do - pray. To spice things up a bit, I’ve made a poll on the sidebar. Just vote who do you think will win: Pacquiao or Barrera? Don’t be shy people! Vote, hehe. Also feel free to leave a comment on this thread and share your thoughts on the topic.

pacman recently signed in GMA as talent.. pacman is also organizing his own manny pacquiao billiards 10 ball tournament lol but my vote still goes si pacman =)

His (Manny) wallet would be fatter if he actually loses this one. There would be (no doubt) a third match between the two and fatter checks for both of them. Now, I’m not saying that he is trying to deliberately lose but losing right now is a big possibility for Pacquiao due to the “distractions” around him.
Sheeez, Manny as a talent? What would he do? Recite lines like “Thanks for the god?”

I’ve read an article stating that currently the betting odds in Las Vegas of Pacquaio winning against Barrera is 4-1. Kaya iprenda nyo na lahat ng alahas nyo at ipusta kay Pacman!

i really hate it when people turns out like that, they become cocky just because their great, i don’t want manny to lose but if ever i hope he keeps his foot on the ground again, that the problem when your head inflates, your fly high and when someone pricks you you’ll fall as hard, (*remembers bobby and boom boom*) we’ll i really hope his note taking the fight for granted because barrera is a great fighter and i hope he doesn’t forget that, we’ll more power Pacquiao!!!

The problem with Manny losing this one is that if he loses, Barrera will definitely retire, seeing as he has already “avenged” his loss and proved his critics wrong when they said that he is already over the hill. Manny should demolish this guy and blast him all the way to the hills of Mexico to retirement.

At least c pacman khit barok english nya nkkenglish eh mga mexican may taga translate pa amf. Ung mga salita nila pinaganda na nung translator pero ung karamihan inde tlga un ung sinabi nila. Eh c pacman khit papano maiintidhan mo. Mamsmaiintindihan mo pa nga c pacman kesa c coach nya. whahaha. Pag nagsasalita ung coach nya s mga news may subtitle para maintindihan ung sinasabi ahahaha.

manalo o matalo man si pacman jan, wala ng magiging rematch….kasi nagsabi na si barera na matalo o manalo man siya, mag reretire na siya…kaya tingin ko wala ng magiging rematch yan…

I think manny can not be beat right now, he is on top of his game and no one can touch him. When barrera realizes that he cant hurt manny he will run back to his corner looking sad like he did on the first fight. Manny will no doubt knock him out on the 11 round again. Mabuhay filipinas.
