Naruto Shippuuden 27: Sakura Redeems Herself
Naruto Shippuuden, one of my favorite anime titles, recently released episode 27 and while it didn’t have too much action, we finally see Sakura redeem herself. Prior to Shippuuden, Sakura has really been one of the most annoying characters in Naruto. She really doesn’t do anything special, maybe except be cute and keep the atmosphere light from time to time. In terms of usefullness, she rates somewhere from 0-1 on a scale of 10.
For the past few episodes, we’ve been seeing Sakura face-off against Saosori from Akatsuki. Even Chiyo is impressed with how she’s been performing. While it’s pretty obvious that Sakura won’t be able to fight Saosori without Chiyo, it’s still good that Sakura now has a mind of her own and she can now contribute to the battlefield. Spoilers and reviews after the jump.
In the last episode, Sakura was impaled by Saosori with a poison drenched blade. As many of us predicted, Chiyo used the last remaining antidote on Sakura, effectively giving up her own life. We still have to give credit to Sakura though because she was the one who thought of making the antidote in the first place. While I maintain that Sakura cannot possibly hold her own against Saosori, the same goes for Chiyo. Anyway, Saosori backs up and charges Sakura with the intent of finally taking her out. Fortunately, Chiyo still had some fight left in her and used the Father/Mother puppets to stop Saosori and finally kill him. Gruesome as it may sound, both parents stabbed Saosori in the heart.
Despite Saosori’s defeat, things still looked bad for Sakura. Even without poison, if you get stabbed deep with a sword you’ll really end up in a bad condition. She falls to the ground, her life slipping away like sand falling in between the spaces in her fingers (wow how deep, lol). Chiyo then uses her ultimate technique - Tensei No Jutsu, which is basically giving up some of her lifeforce and transferring it to Sakura. Saosori finally dies but he tells the two to meet his spy who is currently in the side of Orocihmaru. Victory to Sakura and Chiyo. One Akatsuki member down.
In the last part of the episode, we also see Kakashi open his eyes after three to four episodes of them closed while chasing Daidara. I can’t wait to see the next episode and see him finally use the damn thing.
Over-all this episode was okay. It really didn’t keep me at the edge of my seat but it’s good that they’ve finally ended the fight of Saosori - it was a good resolution. All we can do now is wait for the next episode. Hopefully it will have enough action to keep everyone happy. GO GO GO KAKASHI XD

Dont you think Sasori was looking for someone that was capable of defeating him and if ever he cud find that someone he would somewat commit suicide but make it look like it was a “legit” kill.. Like Chiyo said, Sasori knew or figure out wat she was suppose to do.. Guess he was lonely & he cud find a way to be happy when immortal…

aw! ginamit na pala ni kakashi yung mangekyou nya.. mapaparalize cya dyan pagkatapos nya gamitin… hehehe… tapos yung spy ni saosori yung medical ninja din sa side ni orichimaru.. si kabuto… hehehe… nabasa ko lang sa manga… ^_^

Wak kayo magspoil wawa nman yun ndi nagbasa ng manga or ayaw maspoil hehe may konti mali sa post dyan, 1st mangekyo sharingan CANT be copied, it is an evolved form of the sharingan.. you have to earn it to have it.. 2nd, think Itachi just told Sasuke to kill your best friend in order for Sasuke to walk the same patch as him or maybe just told him wat previous mangekyo sharingan Uchihas used in order to get it.. Remember, he didnt kill Naruto or should I say, the mangekyo sharingan “awaken” before they were exhausted.. Guess there are different ways to acquire a mangekyo sharingan..
