MMORPGs should always have merchandise that they can sell. Not only does this increase brand recall, it’s also an alternative revenue stream for the company. When I was at the Gravity Festival in Seoul, Korea, they really had a lot of Ragnarok merchandise up for grabs. I bought some Ragnarok Goblin figurines and since I have extra, I’m going to put it up as a prize to the next Waukster Blog Contest! Speaking of blog contests, the deadline for submission for the Ragnarok 2 Wallpaper Contest is tonight. I’ll be announcing the winners tomorrow evening so better send in your entries before the clock hits 12 midnight.

I’ll announce the mechanics of the new blog contest tomorrow but you’ll definitely need a blog if you want to join. I’m thinking of throwing in some more Level-up Games top-up cards to the prize pool so if you don’t have a blog yet, make one! It’s really easy to get into anyway. By the way, we’re coming up with new poring dolls this September. They’ll have microbeads inside so it will double as a really cool throw pillow. We’ll probably sell them at Level-up LIVE 2007.
