Level up Top Philippine Website
Abe Olandres, one of the top bloggers of the Philippines, recently wrote about the top local websites in the country. Based on the Alexa rankings, the official website of Level up Games (www.levelupgames.ph) is the number 1 locally made website in the Philippines. It’s followed by the website of our competitor, e-Games. This is an indication of how big the online gaming community is in our country.
Imagine, more people read the LU Website compared to Inquirer dot Net! That’s really amazing! It means that there are more gamers online versus the total number of Filipinos who want to read the daily news online, haha! Take note that this is just an assumption that the Alexa Ranking is 100% accurate. I’m pretty sure that the Inquirer Website should be in the top 3.
Here’s an excerpt from Abe’s post on his blog:
For the longest time, The Inquirer.net has been regarded by everyone as the number 1 Philippine website, previously boasting some 44 million pageviews a month (recent figures pegs it at 28M). Since other sites don’t really publicize their numbers, a lot of people are relying on Alexa stats and this website that ranks them accordingly.
And, since time immemorial, Inquirer.net (or formerly Inq7.net) has comfortably been on the top of that list. It was only lately that I noticed two other locally-oriented websites have actually displaced Inquirer.net. Here are the latest rankings and the figures:
# 1 levelupgames.ph, Alexa Rank: 1,241
# 2 e-games.com.ph, Alexa Rank: 1,857
# 3 mp3-codes.com, Alexa Rank: 2,105
# 4 inquirer.net, Alexa Rank: 2,414It seems that gaming sites of rival companies Level Up! and IP e-Games are neck and neck in bagging the top spot. Both are community sites with hundreds of thousands of members.
But before we get into any conclusions, let’s remember that Alexa is by no means any definitive metrics to rely on. If we look at sites in the Alexa 5,000 and higher figures, the margin of error should have been lower and more reflective of the actual numbers. I have a good idea of the total number of visits of these 3 sites and I can say that the rankings are actually still off and I still believe Inquirer should be much nearer the top.
This is a validation of Level Up winning the recently concluded Philippine Web Awards. The gaming industry will keep on going up and it’s all because of the Philippine Gaming Community.
More power to all Pinoy Gamers! Rok On!

Dagdag din na madami pa ring bugged accoutn sa Valhalla. Mula noong maintenance last Wednesday ay di na nila ma-log in. Laging sinasabi na naka-log in na ang account nila gayong di naman.
Pls. Paki-sabi naman sa mga taong maaring maka-pag-ayos ng mga ito.

Bababa ranking nyo niyan pag di inayos ang RB hehe
Tsaka I read the Inquirer through their hardcopy, not the website. Much more convenient that way, and at the same time I support the people who set up corner newsstands to eke out a living.

I used to be an avid fan of Alexa back when I was still in Highschool.
There was a point back then that E-games ranked 1st (not necessarily no.1) before LUG and that was the glory days of RAN.
After the merge of LUG and netGames, traffics going to netGames are now going to LUG and most of this traffic is coming from flyffers.
The merge was a factor and the recent developments within the gaming infrastructures of LUG took the seat away from E-games.
This still do not include however traffics coming and going to RB and/or E-games Forums.
E-games forum however will undoubtedly hit more than RB since it caters for all the games under it’s wings.
Since LUG’s forums are widespread into several forum address.
