Okay, now that we’re done with Ozine Fest, let me start plugging our biggest annual online gaming event – Level Up LIVE 2009! We’ve already released official online teasers and banner ads advertising LIVE. These ads leads to our temporary LIVE 2009 Website which has links to the mechanics of all of the tournaments that we’re running for all of our games.
Relive last year’s LIVE! Click here for a summary of all my posts about LEVEL UP LIVE 2008. Check out all the pictures and videos that I was able to take, including the famous FilHarmonika Orchestra performance of Ragnarok themes.
So mark your calendars ladies and gents! November 7-8, 2009! See you all then at the World Trade Center! Cheers!

Hmm, why is the orchestra performance “infamous”?
You make it sound like they did it badly.

I’ve been meaning to post a suggestions for LU LIVE 2009, focusing on cosplay. I have participated in LU Live cosplay twice, first as a costume and prop maker at LU LIVE 2007 and second at LU LIVE 2008 when I cosplayed Kiel Hyre. In both LU LIVE 2007 and LU LIVE 2008 the costumes that won the competition (aside from the girls in sexy outfits, nothin’ can compete with those) and made the most impact were the large and hulking ones. LU LIVE 2007 had the Turtle General while LU LIVE 2008 had the Red Mau and Bloody Knight. I don’t know how many people agree with me but it’s impossible to compete against those types of costumes if “tao ka lang na kakaiba ang damit.” I propose that a new category be added to the cosplay competition this LU LIVE 2009, called MASCOTS. This new category would cover any costume that completely covers the wearer, makes you appear non-humanoid, or if the focus of the costume is something else other than the person wearing it. I’ve tried pitching this idea before to other events but so far nobody has implemented it but I hope LU LIVE would at least give it a thought. In the spirit of fair competition I hope you strongly consider it.
