Level Up Live 2009 Cosplay Pics: Robots, Monsters, & Porings

I was at the World Trade Center this afternoon for the biggest gaming event of the year – LEVEL UP LIVE 2009! I had a blast meeting up with my former co-workers. Thanks so much for giving me a VIP Pass guys! Means a lot that I can still go without having to line-up, haha! Anyway, I was able to take a lot of photos during the COSPLAY COMPETITION and I’d like to share some of the best shots with you. This will be a 3-part photo essay type post since I kinda have a lot of pics. For the first part, I’d like to focus on the bigger entries in this year’s cosplay.

Level Up Live wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t get a glimpse of the annual MAU cosplayers. This year was no exception as the massive robot trooped, walked, and danced again during the singles competition. I’m thinking he needs a new gimmick for next year though. Maybe he should add fireworks or something? Hahaha. Wouldn’t put it beyond this guys to actually doing that!

RAGNAROK ONLINE’S PORING EMPEROR
Live also wouldn’t be live unless we had giant Ragnarok Online MVP Boss Monsters going down the catwalk. This year we saw the Poring of all Porings – Emperor Poring! Gotta love the light effects on this thing, haha! Amazing imagination and creativity on the part of the Cosplayer.

And last, but definitely not the least, is an Accretian with wings! He’s the only big cosplayer that actually went up the ramp. All the others had to use the lower walkway due to their bulky nature. This guy also struck a rather cool pose after he reached the middle of the stage.
