The biggest online gaming event in the Philippines just got bigger! Level Up LIVE 2008, has officially been announced in all websites of games published by Level Up. It will be held in the World Trade Center on October 18-19, 2008. It’s roughly 208-209 days away as of this writing.
Level Up LIVE 2008’s theme has also been revealed. Last year it was “LOGGED & LOADED”. This year, we’re going to take a more Olypmics approach. We’ve decided to call it Level Up LIVE 2008: Rise of the Gaming Gods. The event will still host the finals of the national annual tournament of Ragnarok, RF, Perfect World, Fly for Fun, and Freestyle. There will be more developments for Ragnarok in the coming days so watch out for more announcements.
Speaking of Ragnarok, we’ve also released the mechanics for the Ragnarok Philippine Championships.
The Ragnarok Philippine Championships, or RPC, is the longest running online gaming national tournament in the country. It consists of three legs; the Server Eliminations, the Regionals Tournament, and the RPC 2008 Tournament. The Server Eliminations is composed of the Agit Lords and the Wild Cards. The top Agit Lord and Wild Card per server will battle it out to determine who will become the Server Representative that will get a slot in the RPC 2008 Tournament.
The Regionals Tournament, on the other hand, is a live competition which will pit the best Luzon, GMA, Visayas, and Mindanao have the offer. The best team will be declared the Regionals Tournament Champion and earn a slot in the RPC 2008 Tournament. The last two slots are given to the Resurrected Guild and the Ultimate Wild Card.
Finally, we have the RPC 2008 Tournament. The top 8 teams will battle it out until we have the best 4 teams in the country. These 4 will go on to fight in a live event and there we will crown the RPC 2008 Champions.

Good luck to all participating guilds! This will definitely be one hell of a tournament season! I can’t imagine how much the meta-game will change for RPC considering we’re already patching WoE: Second Edition and a variety of new features in the coming months.

sana maging 3 day event na ung LIVE! 08.. para inde lang mga finals ng bawat games ng LUG ang gaganapin.. kundi para pwde narin ganapin ulit ung 8-team eliminations ng ragnarok philippine championships..hope the organizers & RO team will consider it.. more power ^_^
