Hey everyone! I’m back with more stuff about Level Up Live and the Ragnarok World Championships 2008. This time I’d like to share with everyone the three winning entries for the Film Festival. I’m very happy with the quality of videos that we got this year. Most, if not all of them, really deserved to be played in front of the thousands in attendance at Level Up Live. Even our guests from other countries loved the videos! This really shows that the Pinoy’s creativity and passion is world class.

However, let me again give credit to the Ascension film festival entry. It was really one of the best Ragnarok fan made videos I’ve ever seen and you should be proud of your work. I hope you make more movies like that in the future.

ewan ko lang kung ano nakita nila sa “Hindi Ako Botter” kung bakit nanalo yn…
effort lang sa pag animate ang nakikita ko dyan…wala akong makitang story at di maganda ang voice acting nila…

Maybe because *cough*MD’s sorta connected with LU*cough*?
It was lacking the oomph that we saw in Ascension’s entry. BTW, how were the winners selected?

i like that film called “Ascension”, it has a clever storyline and a great musical score whoever made that film kudos to you, you are a winner for me… and that “hindi ako botter” clip was too lame… i could give it an A for effort dats all…

…which is the point of competitions, to be judged by a real panel of judges, and not by mob rule mentality. oh and btw, mababa lang ang percentage ng audience impact. No one was really paying attention to LORDS OF PERFECT WORLD when it was being played.

Anu ba ang ginawang basehan ng mga judges sa pagpili sa mga winners? I don’t get it. Never liked the 1st and 3rd. At least the second one made me laugh. Pero yung 1st and 3rd, errr.. The Ascencion of Jewel deserved to be among the winners. It made you laugh, it made you feel. It ecompasses what playing RO means, friendship, camaraderie and yes even love.

brutal nyo nman..haha.. okeys rin nman ung key master D ah..hehe..funny and kinda connected with this yr’s theme, which was obviously being a god of gaming.. napanood ko na ung 1st & 3rd.. sowe pero ala ganung appeal para sakin.. and d tlaga mktarungan d nkpasok ung ascension sa top 3.. come on, it was obviously the crowd favorite, ganda sequence ng story, ganda at pinag hirapan ung animation and more importantly! COMEDY! come on.. u cant compare comedy with 3d effects and real life performances if d nman nkktawa.. sowe pero dull mga criteria for this year..or baka dull ung mga judges @_@

“Hindi ako botter” deserved the recognition.. Inde lang naman pa-astigan ang labanan.. I found it entertaining as much as ascension was. I guess hindi gaano patok ang comedy sa iba and di ata nila naisip ung ingenious effort to do clay animation..
I think though ascension deserved a place in the top 3, but MD’s entry deserved to be there too, and it did.

We have to face the reality that the LU Filmfest is not a popularity contest. It is a legit competition with a panel of judges that follow strict criteria, and “audience impact” has a low percentage.

too bad.. they(LU) said that the LU LIVE 08 is a tribute for us (the gamers)… and it was merely a percentage they give for the “audience impact” category… oh well… congrats to the winners…

Di naman yan cyber sunday ng WWE or american idol na taong bayan ang bumoboto (film fest).. and LU Live is not just a mere TRIBUTE to gamers.. it’s a collection of many events.. It’s like the “Wrestlemania” of Level Up! games. Live is not an LU “Fans day/gamers recognition day”, it seems this is how Caballero wants to put it. hehe.
E di sana thru text votes na lang ang laban kung gusto nyong dictated ng masa ung outcome..

And what the others are trying to say is that, it doesn’t matter what the majority likes in this kind of contest. The judges decide, not the majority. Kung meron siguro napipikon e ikaw yun.

just want to comment on the first place winner… the “Lords of Perfect World”… this deserves to be the winner… i like the cinematography… great storyline… the sound could be better especially on that fight scene… and i like the way it ended… it will make you eager to wait on the next one…

well guys, i personally thank all the comment, sa mga konting people na sumoporta sa aking ginawa… just dropped by, and accidentally na padpad ako sa website na e2,

well, so far, konti lng ata nkta kong negative about sa Film ko, and most is about the other 2 films, and i respect all the negative comments given to me by other critics, im not saying my entry is good, but its hard work, well, isang araw lng sya inedit, 20 hours to be exact, ksma na ung shooting ng half ng film…
well, im not good, but ill promise to be better… mdyo may ggnda pa sana ung gwa ko, kaso, 4 days nlng ang natitira nung inumpisahan nmn ishoot, and it took 2 days of shooting ksama na ung editing with effects… sana na paganda ko pa at napag handaan ko ng maaga,
let me add that, sinubukan ko lng xa, wala nmn mawawala kng mag papasa ako, i tried my luck… ayun, di ko inexpect na id be one of the three.
