I just saw the King of Fighters movie behind the scenes trailer and I was really disappointed and frustrated at what I saw. The fight scenes look good but I can’t get over how they literally butchered the original characters of the game with their cast selection. Terry Bogard, my all-time fighting game favorite character, is being played by David Leitch. No offense to David but he really looks too old to play Terry. His face, mannerisms doesn’t strike me as the “Lone Wolf” image which Terry made famous. Other than Terry, they also made terrible casting choices with Mai and Rugal. Next up we have Mai Shiranui which is being played by Maggie Q. I know this girl has moves but she doesn’t have the right curves for the original character. Mai is supposed to be insanely sexy and flirty, something that Maggie Q doesn’t get across too well. Don’t get me wrong, Maggie is beautiful, but I don’t think she fits the bill for Mai.
Then we have Rugal. The guy playing him just looks lame. Rugal is supposed to be a really evil bad ass villain but this guy looks like a wimp! I don’t see him beating the bloody hell out of Kyo and Terry. He kinda looks too innocent, haha!
I’m personally bracing myself for another debacle similar to what happened with Dragonball the movie. Hopefully though it won’t be as bad as that. I’ll probably still watch it but only because of the IP and I was a huge fan of the game. From the looks of things though I’ll be giving a scathing review afterwards, haha!

KOF MOVIE ANOTHER DRAGONBALL STREET FIGHTER RANT.
The King Of Fighters movie is a $12 million movie that will not be a success but the games are good but why is the movie about fighters going to other dimensions this is real bullshit and Sean Faris as Kyo no they should have a Japanese actor to play Kyo so this movie will fail in box office.

The thing with videogame based movies are, that it’s like they assume, that we need to see something different for it to be interesting, which is completely wrong. I’d rather watch the Hong Kong cinema version of Street Fighter again than watch this movie. Atleast the HK SF movie was funny.
Once more we see bad US casting. We saw crap in Dragonball which isn’t even a video game title, and we’ll see crap here, half because of the ridiculous cast, and half due to the fact that it’s a video game IP.

The character of terry bogard, miss mai shiranui, and mr. rugal was very awkward to the character that they portray!!!! and instead of mai shiranui. . it is chiziru!! diba po ba!? but okey i accept it na lang. . sayang ehH
