A few months ago, I wrote about how DC Comics was doing a game together with Mortal Kombat. They’ve been doing more promotions ever since, including game demos in various conferences in the US. Just recently they released another set of screenshots as well as more characters to be included in the roster. Since the hype these days is all about the Dark Knight and Joker, here’s something that you guys might find interesting. Check out Sub-Zero doing a major uppercut against the Joker! Hahaha!

It will be interesting to see the single player mode of this game. I can’t think of any logical story line as to how Superman ends up facing Scorpion or Sub-Zero. It just doesn’t make any sense at all. Lol.

i hope that’s not the final product. even in the comics joker doesn’t just smile when he gets nailed in the jaw. and i’d like to see how they scale clark’s godliness.

This game is extremely weird… I mean it is IMPOSSIBLE to create a balanced game with this theme unless you actually make every last DC hero look weak. How the heck can anyone in Mortal Kombat beat Superman?????? Perhaps the only DC character that can really be beaten by Mortal Kombat characters are the characters from Batman. Really I can’t see any way they can actually hit Flash or beat Green Lantern or Destroy Wonder Woman or….

I could’ve sworn the Joker was still smiling after being beaten up by Batman at the police station in The Dark Knight. Smiling after getting punched? Not an issue for me. It’s the Joker–he’s special.

You forgot what superman said during the JL series. The most dangerous person you ever want to mess with is Batman. heck Batman can dodge Darkseid death beam san ka pa. and he will make anti “insert weapon name” spray to kick you around

i saw a trailer about this game before while stumbling around using stumbleupon. i forgot where it is but yeah it looks cool with amazing graphics. nasanay lang ako na MK ang nakikita sa video game but ung adaptation ng DC characters into this game e mukang astig din.
i wonder which MK characters will be featured… mas familiar ako with MK than DC eh.

The game still looks unpolished. For a NewGen Console game some of the effects look almost PSone-like. Scorpion’s snare just disappears into thin air after he pulls his opponent towards him. It would look better if it falls to the side when Scorpion attacks his opponent and better yet stayed impaled if he doesn’t. And don’t anybody make the excuse about those snares being living snake like creatures that retract to Scorpion’s palms, that was only in the movies. I downloaded the HD trailer and he uses a rope with a Kunai tied to the end of it. The blood need a lot more work. It’s just like the snare, it’s there then its gone. Where did it go? They went through so much trouble making torn clothing effects but they won’t splash some red liquid to the floor. I want Scorpions face stained with Superman’s Kryptonian blood. I’m sure that MK fans would appreciate any added gore factor from good blood effects. I’d personally like to see SubZero take a massive hit and instead of spilling blood we would see frozen red ice crystals shatter around him.
IMHO. The game in the trailers and previews need work. I hope the final version will be a lot better.
