Naruto Manga 470 was out as early as Thursday evening. The issue revolved around Akatsuki’s Hoshigaki Kisame and his legendary sword, Samehada. For the first time we get a glimpse of the full sword without the wrapping… and can I just say that it is the most gruesome and monstrous weapon I’ve seen in a long while!
In this issue, Kisame takes on Killer Bee, the Giant Raccoon, and one of Killer Bee’s older friends. Kisame manages to avoid most of the initial attacks, including a pencil thrown by Killer Bee that was amplified by electricity to the point that it could pierce Kisame’s thick skin. Eventually the two manage to trap Kisame and Killer Bee goes in for the kill, even summoning up the chakra from his tailed beast. However his attack weakens considerably and he loses his chakra. It’s at this point that the terrifying power of Samehada is revealed.

Apparently, Samehada can devour and absorb massive amounts of Chakra from Kisame’s opponents. Things are looking really bad for the Hachibi.
Did some quick research on Kisame and I found this on Wikipedia. Good read.

While most Akatsuki partners are hostile towards each other, Kisame and Itachi get along considerably well; Kisame does as Itachi asks of him unquestioningly and always looks out for Itachi’s well-being. While he was still loyal to Kirigakure, Kisame was one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, a group of violent ninja that use particularly large swords in battle. His sword, Samehada (???, lit. “shark skin”), is covered in scales that can absorb untold amounts of an opponent’s chakra, and only allows Kisame to wield it. Kisame himself has massive amounts of chakra, comparable to a tailed beast, enough so that a clone created by the Akatsuki that held only 30% of his power contained an amount of chakra comparable to Naruto when using the Nine-Tails’ chakra.[55] Kisame has a unique appearance, having pale blue skin, a gill-like facial structure, and sharp triangular teeth. These shark-like characteristics extend to his choice of attacks in battle, as he frequently shapes water into the forms of sharks to damage opponents. If there is no water nearby, Kisame can quickly produce his own lake to use at his leisure.[56] His seiy? in the Japanese anime is Tomoyuki Dan,[57] and his English voice actor is Kirk Thornton.[58]

lumang fact na yung manana devour ng chakra yung samehada and if im not mistaken nakita na siya dati na walang takip but back then it didn’t assume that form
“a clone created by the Akatsuki that held only 30% of his power contained an amount of chakra comparable to Naruto when using the Nine-Tails’ chakra”
where did this come from? I don’t think such fact has ever been stated

I just checked wikipedia’s sources and confirmed that this statement “clone created by the Akatsuki that held only 30% of his power contained an amount of chakra comparable to Naruto when using the Nine-Tails’ chakra.” is not a fact and is merely an opinion by someone. and is most probably not true at all

Actually the 30% of power that was the time when kisame fought against Gai. Kisame only uses a clone with only 30% of his power and gai already had a hard time beating him even opening 6th gate to defeat him. There’s no saying that the 30% of power is comparable to naruto’s kyuubi chakra. I believe I read somewhere in manga someone is saying that kisame’s chakra is comparable to naruto’s kyuubi chakra which is shocking already because he isnt a bijuu owner and he even have those kind of massive chakra. But to say only 30% of his power to compare kyuubi’s? I don’t think so.

alkeizer is correct all that was stated in the manga was that kisame’s chakra is comparable to that of a tailed beast but it was never told that 30% of his chakra is equal to naruto’s in kyuubi mode.
