Most, if not all, of my favorite titles released new seasons or have stopped useless filler episodes in the past few weeks. The most notable of course is the second season of my all-time favorite anime – Gundam 00! I wrote about Gundam 00 several months ago and I stand by my earlier claim that it really is one of the best series that I’ve ever watched. The second season happens 4 years after the last episode. Here the characters have all grown up and the plot thickens. More characters are introduced and some famillar faces also resurface. As of this writing there are 5 episodes of Season 2 and not one has disappointed me yet.
Other than Gundam 00, it’s good to note that Naruto Shippuuden and Bleach have broken out of the filler stage. For Bleach, the fight between Ichigo and the Arrancar resume again. After defeating Grimjaw, Ichigo finds himself against a much stronger member of the Espada. For Narutuo Shippuuden, we see the continuation of the battle of the Konoha ninjas against the dreaded members of the Akatsuki. I know that not everyone reads the manga so I won’t spoil it for you guys but let me just say this – the anime is nothing compared to the recent updates in the manga, especially for Naruto! I’ll write more about that in a separate post.
Last, but not least, is my favorite TV Drama series – House. Season 4 has finally started again and I think they have 4 episodes out already. It’s amazing how the writers of House continue to reinvent and twist the plot to the point that it becomes more interesting when it starts to become boring. I’ll write more about House in a separate post as well.

Gundam 00 has all the elements that make a great Mecha Anime; cool mecha, good characters, excellent story, flashy battles, but we get something extra with Gundam 00. Civilians. Most of the civilians in past Mecha Animes are either just extras or soon get drafted into some special force group but in Gundam 00 it was different. Saji Crossroad and Louise Harvey, just normal everyday people were given screen time to show us how normal people are affected by war and conflict.

Albeit that Louise Harvey is no longer just a civilian in Season 2. Saji Crossroad’s story is still interesting. Saji is angry at Celestial Being for ruining his life. All he thinks about is how happy he was or how seemingly peaceful everything was before Celestial Being appeared. When Setsuna asked him “So as long as you’re the only one living in peace. You’re happy?” he got confused. He doesn’t see how twisted everything else is outside his bubble. I can’t wait to find out what happens to him after Season 2, Episode 5. After he realized that he was partially responsible for the death of so many people.

Gundam 00 is probably one of the best if not the best Gundam Series ever. The plot, character development, cool gundams and more. This is the first gundam series to show how civilians are affected by war. I think the only thing Gundam 00 lack is more airtime because if they dont cram up the plot I think Gundam 00 could be better (I mean seriously they could have made season 1 50 episodes long without changing the plot)

Hi sir wauks. Have you heard or read Terry Goodkind’s The Sword of Truth novels? It’s very popular and due to it’s popularity, meron nang TV series entitled “Legend of the Seeker”. The first episode aired last Nov 1. Sayang at wla dito sa pinas. Or maybe di ko lang alam. Neway, I found a site that has the whole episode. 87 minutes for the first episode! I just finished watching episode 6 and the cliffhanger ending was awesome.
SPOILER: Lost lovers blindly reunited at opposite sides of a battlefield. What will Saji Crossroad do? Shoot or cry in a corner.
Can’t wait for episode 7. At this point I’m more interested with Saji Crossroad than any of the 4 Meisters or any other character for that matter.
