Other than Optimus Prime and Soundwave, my next favorite character in the franchise would be the Dinobot – Grimlock. To those who don’t know him, he’s an Autobot that transforms into a T-Rex. RAWR! Hahaha. What makes me love this guy even more is all of his witty remarks throughout the cartoon series, especially during the Transformers Cartoons Movie.
Now that Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen is now in the books, we’re all looking forward to the third installment of the Transformers movie franchise. I’m hoping that Michael Bay can find a reason to include Grimlock and the rest of the Dinobots in the 3rd movie. That would sooooo kick ass.

Unfortunately, hindi sila isasama ni Bay. I read in one of his interviews that hindi niya isasama ang mga Dinobots.

hmmm..i imagined that they’ll look a lot like transformers beast wars, how they transform that is..but with better animation of course..
if my memory serves, in that series, starscream is a raptor..o_O

Before Transformers was released, producer Tom DeSanto had “a very cool idea” to introduce the Dinobots,[182] while Bay was interested in an aircraft carrier, which was dropped from the first film.[183] Orci claimed they did not incorporate these characters into Revenge of the Fallen because they could not think of a way to justify the Dinobots’ choice of form,[98] and were unable to fit in the aircraft carrier.[105] Orci also admitted he was also dismissive of the Dinobots because he does not like dinosaurs (“I recognize I am weird in that department,” he said),[184] but he became fonder of them during filming because of their popularity with fans.[185] He added “I couldn’t see why a Transformer would feel the need to disguise himself in front of a bunch of lizards. Movie-wise, I mean. Once the general audience is fully on board with the whole thing, maybe Dinobots in the future.”[186].

I was a transformers fanatic since i was a small kid. i remember asking my dad to buy me a transformers action figure and to my dismay i got grimlock!!! Still, i played it to death. I got it over 20yrs ago, i assume it was the first of its kind, released originally by Hasbro toyline. I should have saved and preserved it.

Grimlock would be awsome in the Movie. I would like the Idea of a Pretender. Maybe he could scan a T-Rex from an Picture or a Animatronic and then …. Grimlock is born !!

Well since in the Movie everyone knows the Transformers Exist Dinobots forms wouldn’t for disguige more functionality, more for the look like the faction, forms are also choosen via personal preference and since Grimlock Badass nothing is more badass then a T-rex, in the original series the Transformer were widely know and they were made the Dinobots to take on Devastator and in the comics they were already here just buried in the ground in stasis lock while chasing Shockwave and to justify there forms they could be found in an Archeological dig After an earthquake or even have Sam drop the Allspark shard he has Around some Mechanical Dinos
