Last July, Level-up! Games sent a team of young gamers to Seoul, South Korea, to compete with 14 other countries in the Ragnarok World Championships 2007. It was a very tough challenge for Team Philippines seeing as they would battle against the best the world has to offer. However, Team Philippines really stepped up and answered the challenge. Team Philippines was able to beat Indonesia and Brazil but lost to South Korea. However, they redeemed themselves by beating Germany and winning the Bronze trophy (3rd Place). Korean TV stations actually aired the entire tournament live and Gravity was kind enough to send me the DVD of the 1 hour special. Watch part 1 after the jump. This video includes the introduction and the parade of athletes.

    GRAVITY FESTIVAL (1/4)

Parts 2-4 to follow in the next few days. Enjoy the weekend peeps! Daily grind starts again on Monday. By the way guys, if you haven’t read my latest post about the RAGNAROK VALKYRIE SERVER FAQ, click here.

@Momo: I can’t say for now. @Boky: In Korea, it’s really accepted that gamers are athletes. Gaming is really serious over there.
