    OBT-Splash-Page

    Level Up’s newest online game, Grand Chase, recently concluded it’s Closed Beta Testing and we’re now preparing for the Open Beta launch of the next biggest game to hit the Philippines! On November 4, 2008, we’ll be opening the servers to the public and you guys can join in on the kick-ass action that CBT testers enjoyed in the past two weeks. Note that in CBT, players could only level up until 20 and the additional job classes were locked. Characters were also restricted to Arme, Lire, and Elesis. Starting Open Beta, we will be unlocking new maps, levels, characters, skills, job classes, and game features.

    Open Beta Account registration will open very soon so watch out for further announcements. We will open the registration ahead of the actual launch of the servers to give you guys enough time to get accounts so when OBT launches you can just log-in with your username and password. Other than that we will also launch the new Grand Chase website. I’ve seen the mock-ups and I must say that it is really kick ass. Can’t wait for you guys to see it!

    Will post again later. Cheers everyone!

      @Shag: Early next week – I’m on leave kasi bro.
      @Kelvs: go go go!
      @Judicator: Sigurado ako tatagal to bro :) This is a really good game that has a long content pipeline scheduled. Plus the developer, KOG, is really good. For the New Chaos thing, let me talk to the RO Team about it since I don’t get involved with them as much anymore.

      Cheers!

      I loved the PVM and item collecting aspect of the game. The Soldier Bunny Princess set I assembled was so cute. PVP is very exiting. The only worry I had during the entire CBT is the rumor of an auto-grab bot in PVP.

      The main reason I stopped playing RO is because of the rampant use of cheats and 3rd party applications; bots, ibon-patch, auto-pots, etc. Honest players get left behind while the cheaters prosper. After a while I got tired of being left behind and became a cheater as well, had fun for some time but it got old and finally I just stopped. Even before RO, it happened with GunBound. After aim-bot got popular the game was no fun anymore. I tried cheating at GunBound as well but it got old just like what happened later with RO, so I stopped playing it.

      I hope that this doesn’t happen to Grand Chase. I’d hate to see a good game go to waste.

      The problem with online games is that most, if not all of them, are prone to 3rd party cheats. Even Blizzard’s World of Warcraft has a bot. The main difference is how the developer and the publisher of the game works on fixing the problems at the soonest possible time. That’s what I’m really hyped up about with KOG (Grand Chase’s Developer). They have a good reputation of acting fast on bugs, cheats, etc. I’m really looking forward to launching this game here in the Philippines. :)

      Any game is prone to hacking..
      Anti-Cheat Engines can be bypassed.. So Hacking programs can be used..

      Hey guys what’s the difference of CBT to OBT?
      Does that mean after awhile our characters created will also be deleted after OBT ends? So when does the game really start? I don’t want to see my characters go :)
