GM Lilith used to be a GM for Philippine Ragnarok Online. Because of her hard work for the company, she was recently promoted and she’s now the Community Manager for ROSE Online. She was actually interviewed here before and you can check by clicking here. Other than her work at LU, GM Lilith is also part of the Manika Manila organization. It’s a local group of doll enthusiasts… and guess what? Their dolls cost more than 20,000 PHP. Yes, that is a WTF moment right there, hehe. Anyway, their group is launching a project that will benefit poor children in Batangas and Lilith asked me to post this here because you guys might be able to help out. Read the interview after the jump.

Wauks (W): What is the Manikako Project all about?

Lilith (L): MANIKAKO refers to the brand of Do-It-Yourself doll that you can fashion into anything you want it to be. These dolls will be sold at the Manikako booth at Toycon this June 16 and 17, and eventually, online. The proceeds will fund free art workshops for children in poverty. The people behind this project, led by UP Art Studies Professor May Datuin, believe that teaching kids art will give them renewed hope and help them rise from their poor conditions.

W: Who are the people behind this project?

L: The Manikako Project is led by OTAP (Taong Pinay), a non-profit group that teaches “art that heals” to the destitute. It is endorsed by Mistula, the Philippines’ first virtual band, a rock group composed of dolls, and supported by ManikaManila, the local community of Asian Ball-Jointed Doll enthusiasts.

W: How can people help out?

L: We are now accepting old shirts and various notions (yarn, beads, buttons, ribbons, fabric scraps, etc.) to make the MANIKAKO ragdolls. You may drop off your donations at Level-Up Games, Inc., 11F Pacific Star Bldg., Makati Ave. Cor. Gil Puyat Ave., Makati City. Look for me, GM Lilith. For more information, you may also refer to this site - http://www.mistula.com/uno/?p=337

Thank you very much for your support!

You heard her guys. If you have old shirts, now is the time to donate, hehe. Cheers!
