I wasn’t able to give an update anymore yesterday because my internet connection gave up on me. Anyway, here’s the wrap-up for yesterday’s last two matches. One of the favorites for this year is Freya’s Server Champion – NINJA. This guild has been in the tournament for quite a while now and they’ve always been a strong contender. At the opposite corner we have the 2006 RPC Champions – Armed N’ Loaded. ANL displayed a strong and aggressive team during their match against 2005 champions, Hatred.
The match between the two teams was definitely intense! Both used traditional tactics to perfection. During the first match, ANL got the upper hand when they were able to break the LP and hit the entire Ninja team with a solid Storm Gust. Ninja bounced back the second round when they were able to take out ANL’s Professor early. ANL didn’t panic though and they engaged Ninja close quarters in Ninja’s own LP. However the battle ended when ANL’s Paladin finally was taken down. The third match was equally impressive, with both teams maneuvering easily across the arena with their Professor’s leading the way. At the last few minutes though Ninja was able to close in for the kill after freezing majority of ANL. Ninja moves on to the second round by beating RPC 2006 Champs, ANL, 2-1. Congratulations to Freya’s Ninja!
Fortunately for ANL, they had one more chance because they were able to field another team when they won the Server Eliminations in Tyr. Baldur’s Sustainer of the Realm faced off with the Freya champs. I don’t have enough details on this match to actually write a commentary so this will have to wait until I get to the office and watch the recorded videos. According to the GM Team, Sustainers of the Realm advances to the second round by beating ANL. Congratulations to Baldur’s Sustainers of the Realm!
Today we will have the semi-finals and the finals. The match-ups are as follows:
METHOD versus ARMADA
SUSTAINERS OF THE REALM versus NINJA
Whoever wins their respective matches above will move on to the finals which will also happen later tonight. By the end of the day we will know who will represent the Philippines in Seoul for the Ragnarok World Championships! Good luck to all the participating teams!
