Gaming: ROK STAR In-game Event (pRO)

It’s been a while since we’ve done an NPC in-game event for Ragnarok Online. ROK STAR is the latest pRO customized event that we’ve requested Gravity to develop for us. It’s pretty simple and straight forward. All you have to do is to collect all the Star Crumbs that you can find and trade them in for ROK STAR Badges. By the end of the event duration, the person with the highest number of points will win in-game and real life prizes. We’re still figuring out what the “real life” prize is. It will probably be an IPOD of sorts. Anyway, on to the mechanics of the event.

ROK STAR IN-GAME EVENT MECHANICS

- Talk to the Manager in prontera, tell her that you want to be a Rokstar. She will ask you to gather as many star crumbs as you can and then she willl give you 1 Rokstar badge for every 10 starcrumbs.

- Once you already have starcrumbs with you, talk to the Manager again and choose the first option “I will exchange starcrumbs to star badges” to get your star badge/s.

- If you want to get rokstar points, choose the second option “I will return the ROK star badge”. Then you’ll get points for every badge you return to the manager.

- If you wish to consume your ROK star badge, choose the third option “I will consume my ROK star badge” then you’ll be blessed with random additional stat bonus for 1 hour.

Very simple eh? Better get a head start and buy up all the Star Crumbs that you guys can find. I have a strong feeling that the price of Star Crumbs will sky rocket, especially once we officially announce this event. By the way, the prizes will be announced together with the official post on the RO Website. Consider this one a teaser, hehe. Cheers!

  2. Well you can wait for the official announcement. heh You can like buy 10 pieces muna para hindi ganun ka-sakit sa bulsa, tapos pag na announce na, tsaka ka mag buying rampage.

    Wauks luging-lugi dito yung normal players. Dami ko alam sa Iris lang yun dati na Horde of Harvesters. Iris palang yun.

    Ngayon sa freya grabeh! Quadruple ata or nag Quintuple pa yung number of harvesters.

    Walang makikinabang dito kungdi yung merong sandamak-mak na harvesters. I know this one guild. Merong 30+ 99 rouge harvesters. swt

  10. bat naman item na napakadaling ipunin ng bot or sisiw na bilhin ng mga sobra na yaman na player sa RO ang iipunin????

    mawawalan ng pag-asa magcompete un mga common players kng nyan kaya……

    can i suggest to make a unique starcrumb to collect for this event???

    kc kung un normal starcrumb lng edi lamang na agad un mga big shot na forgers…. kc cgurado may stock mga yan kaya!!!! ^^

    Anyway, so it’s only the person who has the most number of points who will get a prize? Walang consolation prize? Nyorks kung ganun. Mga forger lang ang may pag-asang manalo dito.

  17. Bot na to! Tapos maglagay ng mga bot hunter sa mga lugar na makakakuha ka ng starcrumb. Tapos bottin life mo.


  18. dapat random item na lang, example: 600fluff or 10starcrumbs or 2silver ring or 4kitty doll or 1tiger skin etc. dipende kung anu hihingin ng NPC sayo. once ibinigay na ang quest items na nid, hindi mu pwede baguhin yun unless makumpleto mu yung items na pinapahanap sayo.

    …then yung reward dapat, mas nakaka-enganyo para marami sumali.

  22. Any update about sa Rok Pts sa my level up? Yung para sa Bidding dati na hindi naman itinuloy. Sayang yung mga load na nagamit namin kung wala mangyayari dun! sux

    Sana meron silang Hypermart na kung saan pwede mo ipagpalit points mo into an in-game item.
    At dapat wala ng bidding..blah blah…sira ba RB ngayon?


  24. I second the motion on beattles suggestion. Dapat may quota ulit kung ilang points needed para makakuha ng exp mod for pRO servers.


  25. i agree with what most people have already said. this event will hardly be fair with all those gundams around. do something about bots first before proceeding with this event. the server exp mod prize isn’t a bad idea either.

    For Sure bot servers Will have the advantage…

    pero sa THOR narin na dapt bot “Free” daw? naging “Free” bots na, at dumarami narin ang harvester…

    So please Take these things into consideration….

    WAk yung magbibigay ng event para lang maalis sa isip ng tao ung mga current issues like Latency Problems and Down Zones….

    Isipin nyo muna mabuti ang impact ng Events nyo.. And Please Isipin nyo din ang mGA “Special test” Server nyo aka Thor….

    First of all, i’d like to say that you guys did a good job with the latency issues. I don’t experience that much lag during siege anymore. gawi

    About this in-game event.. It’s a bad idea mainly cause it’s bots who’ll gain from this event. But even if you bot you’re not assured that you’ll win this event. For people who don’t bot: Think of it this way. You can still harvest if you want, because you’re still going to gain a profit. I’m sure lots of people will be buying in prontera once this is announced.

    Please reconsider and change the event’s needed ingredients as

    soon as possible.

    can you just replace the star crumbs with hugel medals instead

    so there’s not much bot abuse. If this event continue’s only

    the botters would win X_X.

    For example a botter in a server except thor have already 30000 star

    crumbs.

    Then that would make him/her a winner already.

    For example in thor server, hidden botters there would target Amatsu

    dungeon lvl1 and Beach dungeon 01 ( located north of comodo)

    use their tele bots and harvest star crumbs to their desire.

    Basically speaking this event is for botters only /swt.


  34. Dapat po wauks yung kailangan sa quest e hindi yung paramihan ng items. Kasi alam nyo naman po sino mananalo jan.

    Yung may mga sandamakmak na harvester bots ang sure winner jan. Dun lang sa shop na alam ko na may guild meron silang 30 harvester accounts. All level 99 rogues, complete harvesting equips.

    Nang nalaman nila etong starcrumb nato 10 harvesters nilipat na sa starcrumb maps. Pag inannounce na yan for sure ililipat pa nila yung ibang harvesters dun for sure. swt

    wala rin credibility ang hugel medals.. naging infested din yn ng bots. wah minsan nko npdaan ng hugel monster race. nkkdismaya lng puro novices pa mkikita ko with name suffixes “-01, -02 & so on.. sux
