Finally the meeting is over. It think the brainstorming session took us more than 6 hours but it really went well! I can’t be happy though since we’re still facing a lot of challenges for Ragnarok Online. Tomorrow will be a big day because we will be patching a lot of updates tomorrow which aims to eliminate the lag/disconnection problem. I know that you guys have been getting really frustrated lately and I apologize for that. The entire IT team has been working on this problem for the past few days, and we’ve already escalated it to Gravity. Hopefully the patch tomorrow will finally address that issue. Anyway, you guys can read what else will happen tomorrow during maintenance after the jump.
3x EXP Extension – Freya
Freya will have 1 more additional week of 3x due to the crippling latency issue which has been plauging it for more than a week now. With regards to the Freyans who bought Rok Points but were hit by the rollback, you guys can file a ticket and ask to be compensated accordingly. We will only entertain legitimate cases and any invalid claims will merit sanctions.
Latency Update (All Servers)
Just recently, the latency problem in Freya moved to Baldur. To combat this we will be optimizing the server set-up and we will also be applying a new patch from Gravity. If you guys still have latency problems after the maintenance tomorrow, please post here so I can immediately give feedback to the developers and the GM Team.
Rebirth Bug (Baldur)
This is actually an old bug which started in Thor. We already sent sample cases to Gravity and they will work on fixing the bug tomorrow during maintenance. However it might take some time. To expedite the process, you guys can file a ticket so that the GMs can manually transcend your characters. The announcement for that will be up sometime tonight.
Lastly, with regards to the RWC match-up videos, I can post the URDR and maybe the THOR matches tomorrow after maintenance. The team is still not yet done re-editing so they’ll have to work on it tonight so I can upload them tomorrow morning. I’ll try to post again tonight if I can but I doubt it since I’m really dead tired and I badly need to go home and get some shut eye. x.x

x3 exp in freya si SOMEWHAT acceptable but i believe hindi sya fair enough to compensate the issues we had in Freya last week… lag and more lag and more roll backs.. kayo ba ang mag roll back twice… ang saya naman diba!
anyway, hindi ako nakapag level up to take advantage of x3 last week kasi puro poporing nalang pinapatay ko for a level 98 asssasin.. ikaw ba naman pumunta sa labas ng geffen, pront, payon, orc dungeon para mag palevel e halos masahol pa ang lag sa traffic sa edsa! tapos bad trip.. makkagalaw ka nga after nasa save point kana kasi deads ka na pla… geee!
i hope… this issue will come to an end para naman more happy tayo…
sigh.. anyway… GOODLUCK to us… dapat dito may reporma.. lolz…
pero thanks na rin sa effort ng management to at LEAST resolve the issue (kung meron man…)

this is regarding dun sa load/char transfer..kelan po ba labas un patch for character transfer..kase un ticket namin for load transfer eh INAAMAG na..sabi nun nga GM eh to give them ample time..pero a month after wala pa rin naman ngyayari, sa tingin ko naman 1 month is ample enough..please we really need some actions regarding this..thanks in advance…mabuti na lang may nakakausap kami kagaya mo..hindi tulad ng mga GM dyan sa LUG..puro promise na lang ala nman natutupad…salamat ulet….

Hi Waukster,
I’m using SMARTBro and i’m having high latency (lag) and frequent disconnection which started last week. I can not move my character properly and it’s really annoying that a simple action (using skills) will take longer to effect due to lag.
My connection is good, i did the SU link test (from my antenna and base tower) and the efficieny is high. My ping response from yahoo et al is 200ms on average.
I already emailed the SmarBro tech support to check their routing to PLDT’s VITRO.
If you can do anything about the issue, please do so. It would a big help to all the SmartBro users.
