It’s finally time for a much needed update. I’m sure you guys have been wondering where I was and why I wasn’t able to post for the afternoon. Simply put, I wasn’t able to post because I’ve been coordinating like crazy with the GM Team, Community, IT, Gravity, and the senior management of Level-up Games. Today I found out what crisis management truly means and I am simply exhausted after going through such a hellish experience. I’d like to thank EVERYONE who called, texted, ym’d, e-mailed, and commented on this blog. Though some of your comments were really more like insults, I can’t blame you because this really wasn’t your fault. I admit that and I’ve worked hard today to come up with a more fair, balanced, and pro-player solution because of you guys. While I cannot give you my 100% assurance that we will not rollback anymore, it’s shelved for now. I can say with certainty that we will wipe all the duplicated items from the servers as soon as the fixed program script is delivered by Gravity. Actually we did a minor rollback for the kafra, inventory, zenny, and storage to last afternoon prior to the announcement. This is mainly because we want to make sure that the people who threw away items and did stupid things because of the rollback announcement would be protected. The GM Team and the Customer Support crew will be working round-the-clock after the wipe to investigate all the trade logs and inventory transfers to find out who the innocent players and the criminals are. I’m currently working out a compensation package for those innocent but will be affected by the wipe. Alongside that, we are also going to punish the dupers by not just wiping them, but also permanently banning them as well. What does this mean? Read more after the jump.
Again, I’d like to thank all the players who have stepped forward to express their thoughts, especially those who went to the office (yes there were some, hehe). Though the ordeal is not yet, I think we can take a breather for tonight. Please see below for the official statement which will be released in the Ragnarok website within the next few minutes.

First and foremost, we would like to apologize for the extended server maintenance for today, June 13, 2007. Throughout the day, Gravity was working closely with us to determine the best course of action and come up with a solution to the current problem brought about by the duplication “dupe†exploit which became rampant last June 1, 2007.
We would like to announce that all servers are now up and operational and commercial worlds now have 3x EXP until June 20, 2007 as promised.
There has been NO rollback (except for a minor one, see below) and NO item wipe.
As many would have noticed, the illegally duplicated items resulted in a sudden crash of the in-game economy. We already have plans in motion to solve the problem but we want to verify first before we announce the details. Until such a time, we strongly recommend that EVERYONE AVOID trading, vending, or buying rare and powerful gear UNTIL we release an announcement. However, please be advised that the kafra, inventory, and zenny was rolled back to June 12, 2007 (12 noon) as a safety measure for those players who might have anticipated the announced rollback and did crazy things like throw away items and carelessly over-upgraded their equipment.
We are still finding more ways to lessen the impact on innocent players who bought illegal items and we will be announcing measures for this in the soonest possible time. Also please take note that our Vanguard team will be investigating all the trade logs/item transfers and we will not hesitate to permanently ban players who are found guilty of illegally trading duped items. Our goal is to find a solution which would not affect innocent players and only punish those who are guilty of illegal item duplication, selling and trading.
We apologize for the inconvenience that the extended downtime and for all the anxiety. Lastly, we would like to thank the community for their feedback, suggestions and support.

sir wauks ngayon na up na mga servers how can we be sure na ang pinaghihirapan namin ngayon e d mawawala? baka ngayon e kampante na kami sa paglalaro at pag boboss hunt yun pala after a few days i wipe mga nakuhang items namin… sana naman e ung nilalaro namin now e d lang for exp baka kasi sa isip ng LU e porket may exp mod e pwede pa rin kunin items namin kasi po kung patuloy na may problem at sira pRO e why not bring the game down for days to a week then saka na lang magbigay ng magandang compensation pag siguradong ayos na… :^^:

lol the scene was very much like of a bank robbery. the security personnels (IT Team) of the bank (server) wanted to engaged the robbers (dupers) in a shootout without even thinking the safety of other people (players) inside the bank.
lol man, the innocents were the ones shouting and crying don’t shoot, don’t shoot, don’t shoot you fools!
lol man, how come armed robbers were able to enter the bank in the first place. sure you need to protect the innocent and the bank, why you weren’t that vigilant and alert. you relied to much of your electronic security systems, you’re not even sure what it’s capable of dealing with.
so now you’re saying duped items is here to stay. and more still to come because of the frequent disconnection happening during sieges.
lol man, the signs on the doors should read, for your own safety do not enter! hostage situation inside!

dupers usually uses novice accounts so walng justice if i-ban nyo e novice lang di ba.. bakit ayaw nyo mag lagay ng mga GM na ang gawain is mag patrol sa mga kahinahinalng character.. sa baldur ang DAMI baka gusto nyo mag saliksik prominente at kilalang character pa.

re x3 exp mod: Well it’s about bloody time!!! With all the downtimes and weekly extended maintenance, this x3 mod compensation has been long overdue. I’d rather LUG doesn’t make it as though giving the x3 mod is a noble and heroic act on their part BECAUSE IT’S A COMPENSATION THEY OWE US, their paying customers, for the crappy service they’ve been doing.
As for the dupe fiasco: I concur post #103. Us innocents are still hostages. Please do something about it!

I just came back from pRO after 2 years, and being considered as a ‘newbie again’, the rollback would bring a bad effect on me. But nevertheless, a more transparent LU should be transpiring in the upcoming days. I do agree that some actions can be unfair for the majority of the players, but that doesnt mean that the game’s integrity should be compromised.
A message to the ones who started the ‘dupes’:
“This is a game. Just a game. Not a mechanism for profit or anything in mischief”.

It’s much better to feel the pain in one swoop than yung “killing me softly”.
Players can be able to cope up with the disappointment of losing their game items knowing that the problem has been solved for good, than the uncertainty of what is going to come next. As they say, The anticipation of death is worst than death itself.

that have pick up the duped items even not guilty. These dupers
doing this so some innocent players would be involved later on with
banning of their accounts. So the dupers still have advantage in

matetrace naman yun sa pagdeal kung may tamang amount ng zeny i guess more than 80% of the normal price is enough to say that the consumer/buyer is really inosent. Since pag pinulot mo lang wala naman deal n nangyari i think d marerecognize yun as legal trade but an illegal trade and can be suspected as Duper as well ^^
