Gaming: Ragnarok Update 4/4/07

I’ll probably be busy the whole day so I don’t think I can sneak in a good post or two during the afternoon or even the evening. The marketing team will be re-evaluating our annual operating plan and we even have a morning meeting with our CEO, Jane Walker. So… I’ll be proactive and post my regular pre-maintenance update several hours in advance. Lol. Read on if you want to find out what will happen for pRO in tomorrow’s maintenance.

HYPERMART UPDATE
We will be selling the Evolved Orc Hero Helm at an introductory price of 6000 Rok Points. We will also be selling the Evolved Pipe at an introductory price of 3000 Rok Points. After two weeks, both items will be sold for 1000 Rok Points more. Take note that both items will only be tradable during the first two weeks. There is a high possibility that they will be item locked after. This setting was implemented by Gravity and we are still trying to convince them to change their policy. GTB ACTIVATION
This is still in the works. I can’t give you guys a 100% guarantee that this will be implemented on April 4, 2007. However, I can give you assurance that the GTB will be activated by next week’s mainteanance at the very latest.

NEW SIEGE EVENT & IN-GAME EVENTS
We will be posting the newest siege event series and some other in-game events that you guys will definitely enjoy! We have a MVP challenge for guilds that think they’re the best boss hunters and we also have a PVP/siege event that has very nice prizes at stake.

HALO-HALO & EASTER EGG EVENT
Both of these events will be activated on Wednesday. You can check my previous post on the Halo-halo event guide for reference. I’ll probably work on the Easter Egg event guide early Wednesday or late Tuesday, depending on the work load.

  2. good luck on the meetings. I’ve experienced that and mas nakakapagod pa yung all day meeetings lang ang ginagawa kaysa nagcocode ako or nagsusupport. X_X

    Is there anychance that the angeling hat would not be item locked? I want my other characters to wear it @_@ Kahit account lock nalang okay na >.> basta pwede ikafra. Sam goes to futrue headgears na baka ilock @_@


  4. Wauks … suggestion … snipers these days are currently fading … I hope that said event may be a place wherein I can showcase our snipers at least hehehe Perhaps an MVP sniper tourney?

    Rules: They’re snipers so anything goes equips, items, etc *not including charge attack but it doesn’t work on boss monsters anyways so no restrictions indeed*

    Edit … maybe 1 restriction … Emperor’s Crown hehehehe

    So snipers are best when someone’s tanking so I ask you … what do you prefer?

    Scenario 1 (Free for all snipers) : A GM tanks Amon or Amon is immobile … snipers DS til Amon dies … the MVP is considered the winner …

    BTW Why Amon? : Amon has above 1m hp with that it would be easy for that amount of hp to be shared by many and at the same time the lead of the winning sniper will be evident because as the dps(dps … it’s not only in the build its on the tips of your fingers my fellow snipers ) is higher his lead gets bigger unlike where in if moony were to be MVP

    Buffs of snipers will depend on their “diskarte” hypermart scrolls and all ^_^

    Scenario 2 (Partied with a priest) : Priest + Sniper vs not amon but preferably something easier? Timed event … best time wins

    Possible Candidates for Scenario 2 MVP : Bapho , Eddga , if others would agree … Drake , easiest and fastest … Moony, TGen , DSL , Incantation Samurai , Dracula,GTB,OH,Osi,OL

    Prize ? lol : All I can think of is a GM forged over up rudra’s bow or balista with the winners name on it + 10m? or possibly bloody branches

    Wauks I know this is something far from happening but look at it this way snipers are limited to status infliction during siege … in MVP ing they’re beaten by biochems esp ***s and sinX’s and in pvp if the sniper has no vit he’s killed by the sinX … if he has vit he’s killed by the creator.

    I know this suggestions seems to revolve around snipers too much but don’t we snipers deserve an event like this?

    That sounds like an excellent idea. Maybe we can have per-class tournaments? However we will have to put that off until the Server Merge. At least mas kakayanin ng GMs i-run yun kasi we will be dealing with less servers.

  20. Bad news, the pipe and the orc hero helm will NOT be tradable even for two weeks. *rants about koreans for the nth time* >.<; Hayz. Anyway, yung GTB din pala will be re-activated for 1 month, so to everyone who has, enjoy!

    at least if there are cards at hypermarket, it will profit the LU comapny x_x but then again, i think they should have but the uniqueness is, they should think of a “balanced” card attributes.

    cards like GM (Vanguards name) cards? more of like a Final Fantasy 8 (PS1) cards… hehe (maybe for collection?) or when it is in inventory (not compounded), it will cast something or add sp when killed a certain monsters or add stats when hit just those kind of cards.

    Wala naman ata GTB sa Sakray. XD

    I’ll have it checked na rin. Pero if ever there is, it would be activated since konti lang naman, unlike in the main servers wherein sobrang dami talaga meron.

  32. Hmm, mas maganda kung scrolls na lang parang ung elemental scrolls na pwede imbue sa weapon (*lol* Diablo II iniisip ko) temporary effects lang.

    Kung card siguro hmm.. lahat kasi iniisip ko for weapon or accessory para hindi msyado maging parang Marc card na talagang need. Yung tipong for perks lang. Uhm, gain a random amount of exp everytime you kill a poring? Parang ganun sa acce :D


  33. I think you can chalk it up to hunting and luck Variance. The only way to get a GTB in Sakray would be to hunt for the card. Even with the modified drop rate, that’s still a very low chance. So it would really take a lot of dedication, will, and luck to get a card.

    Lastly, I also believe that if it is just one person I’m sure there are a lot of ways to take him out? SinX? Biochemist? Monk? Kayang-kaya yan. :-) Having led my guild to 3 RPC campaigns, I can honestly say that tactics and not boss cards is the ultimate factor for success.
