Gaming: Ragnarok Servers Up! (Test Run)

There are several problems with the Server Merge that have come up. This includes the name change and account split feature. We’re coming out with an official announcement with regards to this problem within the next hour. Please wait for it on the official Ragnarok Online website. If you have any concerns that are not addressed by the announcement, please file a ticket or call the Customer Support hotline.

I have to focus on this one guys so I won’t be able to answer your comments for a while. Thanks for the support!

    I have 1 char in Odin named (Kaiser) and 1 char in Fenrir named (Kaiser)…

    I would like to ask why the name change feature is only available to the one in Fenrir? (But I want to change the name of my char in Odin)

  12. His original username – carloroks, will get the characters from the server with the highest number of characters. In this case, it’s Loki (4). — hindi po nasunod sakin yung 1 char ko sa chaos ang naging main account ko na di ko naman ginagamit, pwede ba baligtarin to?

    Yes, the chars. w/o suffix can’t change their names


  23. Bale po ung 1 Char lang may Suffix. Ung Char from Loki may suffix na LO and may Option na name change pero ung char ko sa Chaos walang sufix na CH at walang Option for name change.

    Someone took our names and we cannot change it back. Y? Coz they made their novices in Odin.

    This means Odinians NEVER HAD SUFFIXES BECAUSE THEY BECAME THE ORIGINAL NAMES. JEEEZ even my RB name Burke was takeeeen!!

    Sana po pantay pantay ang pagtingin po sa bawat server. T_T LAGYAN PO SANA NG SUFFIXES ANG LAHAT NG ODINIANS SO WE CAN GET OUR NAMES BACK!!!

    I thought in case of a split account, the most number of chars will be the main account? one of my accounts was split coz I have 5 chars in lydia 1 char in sarah BUT my main account is the 1 char in sarah? that’s not what I expected…


  47. I think may 3 priority servers sa 3 merged servers (Chaos-Baldur, Sarah-Freya, Odin - Tyr). These Servers doesn’t have suffices. Thus, they can’t change names. However all their names became permanent.

    e.g.
    Someone created a novice in Odin and named it Burke.

    During merge the Burke in Fenrir became Burke_FE01, while the Burke in Odin simply became Burke. So Burke_FE01 cant change back because someone just took his name in Odin. T_T Conversely, Odinians cannot change names because they won’t get any suffices.

    My main server is in Loki and since I had one character in Chaos my account split

    I have 5 characters in Loki and yet my original account contains that one puny novice from chaos T_T

    the duplicated names in lydia and iris has to think of a different name kasi they can`t get the “original” name..

  58. Hopefully bug nga lang… kasi I remember from the server merge mechanics na both should have suffixes. To quote from the Ragnarok website:

    For example: there is a carlo in Chaos and Loki. The new names after the merge will be: Carlo_Ch00 and Carlo_Lo00.

    So the players from other servers should also have the suffix sa names

Pag nawala na itong akin makakapagmemo na ako sa agits (yehey). Please free me from this. Sorry if I’m a bit selfish pero para fair na rin sa Iris and Lydia kasi nawala memo points nila.

    nag gawa kc ako ng novices in the past with the same name and what happened is that my main characters cannot change name. un mga novices lang ang naka-change name

  67. nag-file na po ko ng ticket regarding my problem pero post ko na din dito para sure…

    ang problema naman sa account ko, ginawa nilang main account ung chaos characters ko na 4 novices lang… tapos ginawa nilang sub-account (ung may -PRO01 suffix) ung loki characters ko (main account ko talaga) with 5 characters…

    sabi kasi sa RO website, kung ano mas madaming characters, un ang gagawing main account kaya sana maayos po itong problem na ito…

    What do these servers get?

    1st Memo points of the said servers have not been deleted

    2nd Character sets of the said servers have been put 1st

    Example : You have 1 Character in Chaos(Main Server) and 5 chars in Loki(Sub-server)
    Original Account : 1 Char in (the Main Server) Chaos
    Suffixed Account : 5 Chars of(Sub-server) Loki

    3rd No Name Suffixes for Chars of the Main Servers(if ever they have the same name as the other Sub-servers that is)

  69. Main characters went to the splitted account while 1 character was left in the original account and instead of having PRO01 in the username it had PRO02. No name change available for my characters that had similar names in other servers although it had the suffixes

    Good day Citizens of Midgard!

    The Philippine Ragnarok Online Server Merge will push through upto the last day of May and the servers will go down for maintenance starting 12:01 AM, May 17, 2007. Servers will be down for approximately 18-24 hours, minimum. Please remember to go over the Server merge mechanics to make sure that you know what will happen to your respective accounts and don’t forget to file a ticket at the CS because you will most likely be doing this after the merge. You can also call our Customer Support hotline anytime, anyday, anyway, anyhow, carabao, balahaw, tamaraw, cacao, bahaw since we already fixed a machine to answer your calls, if you need clarifications.

    By the way, we will surprise you with our Emergency maintenance starting midnight of Wednesday so we have one HUGE treat for everyone - (Gravity didn’t provide us with x5 or else we will say ENORMOUS-GIGANTIC treat) once the servers go up, that is if the server will go up, all servers will be on 3x EXP (wow! is that a huge treat?) for 1 almost week!

    May Baldur, Tyr, and Freya smile upon you all and LU IT Team will be laughing at you all and see players frustrated upon themselves!

    chaos pla main characters q tapos un novices na gnawa ko sa loki…it was so unfair for the others kng mag prioritize lng ng LU! ng mga servers. give chance to all.

    onga, natapos ng maaga kaso wag madaliin lng ang trabaho nla sana kc ganito mangyayari: complains na hindi sinundan ng LU! ang sariling mechanics nla.

    This made the characters from Chaos, Odin, and Sarah go through the merge process without having to get a suffix afterwards. However, characters from these servers will no longer have the option of changing their names.

  93. they didn’t follow the server merge mechanics (the previous one and not the recently added one).

    rule 2 should be overruled by rule no.1.

    explanation:

    rule no.1 : the most number of characters will became the main account if an split in the account will take place.

    rule no.2 : the old server will become the main account if it didn’t satisfy rule no.1.

    Result:

    but the result is that rule no.2 overruled rule no.1 eventhough the most number of aacounts is in the new server in the merging server.

    this only shows how *s t u p i d* IT Team is. they cannot follow a simple mechanic that they made. (kasi analyze first before Trial and Error) e inanalyze nyo ba? banat na lang ng banat ng walang ginagawang analyze e. and the fact that they made rules, but still they are the ones who broke it. and now, mabilis sila sa pag eedit ng rules na ginawa nila.

  98. This isn’t fair. Why aren’t we, Sarahnians, and the other servers allowed to change our names anymore. Napakadaya talaga nito… Please do something about this. I read something in Tristan’s blog about whining people. But I’m whining for a reason. You should have made the changes to the mechanics BEFORE the merge. If the mechanics are not followed after the merge, sana gawan ng paraan at hindi pabayaan.

    first and foremost, IT people follows a rule that states:
    if an IT personnel made a rule, mechanic, or anything regarding what they are going to do, they must make sure that they follow it. if any changes were made within the process, they must stop from what they are doing, ask the proper personnel regarding the change and wait for the reply of the personnel before continuing on the certain change.

    (i for 1 is a IT student kya alam q ang ethics)

    i believe kuya wauks will not even agree with “server dominance”. it creates unfairness in the community thus, problems.

    please fix this problem as soon as possible time. dami mawawala nanaman ng customers sa LU!

    Yung name change, hindi ko lang sigurado if magagawan pa natin ng paraan. Pero I’ll do everything I can.

    Wauks has done many things for us and we shouldn’t forget that just because we’re unhappy by somethings that could be resolved

    Just file your tickets through CS and try not to rant here ^_^

    Wauks is very well informed of these things so there’s no use ranting and ranting and repeating what the other guy just said

    tsk tsk, deception, sana sinabi nyo na lang agad na may dominant server at wala ng Name change na kailangan para hindi na umasa yung ibang tao, gumawa pa kau ng mechanics tapos iibahin nyo bigla pagkatapos ng merge…

    palagay ko yang bagong mechanics talaga yung Plan A nila…

  127. waks bakit naman nag last minute change yung pagiging dominant server ang main account ko tuloy naging isa lang ang char na novice pa. pwede bang ipalipat yun dinelete ko na yung novice.
