As most of you guys know, the game servers were taken down last night because of the Ragnarok Online Server Merge. It’s amazing how hard technical stuff can be for MMORPGs! Anyway, the Gravity Engineers from Gravity and our IT Team has been working non-stop since midnight and at times it really looked like they were in a war room. I didn’t bother asking for updates then because it looked like they were really stressed out. Since it’s already 8AM, I decided to go up to Andy and get an update. So far we have good news. Read on to get the full update and the transcript of our conversation.

The account splitting was a success and only a few people actually had split accounts. Most of the gamers were able to reduce their characters and kafra storage so that they wouldn’t have more accounts. We’ve already submitted the list of accounts to our billing provider so that they can insert the 2 hours load into the split accounts. The servers are also rather okay at this point but we still need to confirm that in 30 minutes when the Game Play Specialists and the GM Team of Level-up start their testing. As soon as I get more relevant updates from them, I’ll post it here. I’ll also try to get pictures, hehe!
So far, so good. Hopefully everything else goes smoothly.
