As promised, here’s an update on the Server Merge. We’ve been constantly coordinating with Gravity for the past few days and it seems like we might have to move the date a bit. But that should be okay since if we do this raw, we might end up making some mistakes. It’s better that we prepare and even practice several times using back-up copies of main worlds. I have a meeting tomorrow with the IT Team and Gravity again to discuss this project. Hopefully we can resolve the problem of increasing the number of character slots and the name change dilemma. Anyway, here are some new mechanics:
Storage Accounts
1.) After the merge, only 300 items will be allowed to merge for the Kafra Storage. The total of items across the servers that will merge must be 300. If not, another account will be created to accommodate the items.
For example: Pet has a total of 200 items in storage in Chaos and he has 150 items in storage in Odin. That would add up as 350 which is greater than the set limit. Pet’s account will be split to make room for the items. The 2nd account will be similar to your username but for the suffix that will be added
2.) Only the Kafra Storage is subject to the item storage limit. Items on the avatars will remain with them whether they be placed in another account or retained.
Ranking and Agit Resets
1.) Agit ownership will reset.
2.) Agit economy will return to 0.
3.) Job class rankings will be reset: Alchemist, Blacksmith, and Taekwon Kid.
4.) All NPC initiated events with ranking mechanics will be reset: Aldebaran Race Track, Monster Race, etc.
Account Load and Rok Points
1.) If the account is split into two, the account with the most number of characters retained will be credited the remaining Rok Points and Game Time.
For example: Jane has 4 characters in her Chaos account and 3 in her Loki account. Her Rok Points and Game Time prior to the merge will be credited to her Chaos account.
2.) If both accounts have 5 characters, the Rok Points and Game Time will be credited to the older server.
If the account is retained (number of characters in merging servers are equal to or less than 5), then the existing Rok Points and Game Time will be credited to that account.

sana ganito nlang mangyari, open nlang yung empty slots and sana yung kafra gawing 600/600 nlang, masmagulo pa po yata kung gagawan ng isa pang account para s mga sumobrang chars at storage kasi baka magkaroon pa ng conflict sa mga usernames.

Agreed po me kay DrewaSs, mas mapapadali po kayo para p less ang mga problems kung mgiging 600/600 kafra limit capacity , para wala ng bug na mangyayari saka 9 char slots sana pwede, pwede din kasi magkarun ng bug un if possible. . . change name din sana, un gusto ng lahat eh kasi fanet prefix. un lang ^_^ hindi na ko makapaghintay ng merge

I agree about the 600/600 Kafra storage capacity rather than splitting the account into two. Otherwise, that would be much of a hassle for the players since they would have to load two accounts instead of one.

Even though not all of us have characters in both Loki and Chaos that are active, I’m sure LU will have a problem with those who have. I don’t think they have what it takes to check each account to determine which account has more characters serverwise. And then to determine also the amount of items in storage. What if you have 1 char in loki with lots of items and zeny in comparison to your chaos account with 5 accounts but not too many items. How would they know which account is to be considered the main account? Eeny, meeny, miny, moe? I’m sure they won’t care and just choose an account and here goes the bunch of customer care tickets!
Wag ng mag split! Merge kung merge. A nice upgrade to our account ain’t bad especially after not opening any of our character slots with the emergence of taekwon class etc and now gunslingers etc.

what bothers me is what will happen when the RPC season starts. I mean, a lot of players are inactive right now but they will be back during the RPC season. Right now almost all servers have an approximate 2k-ish population (except Lydia who has a 1k-ish population) so if the the merge happens world server population would go up into the 5k-ish population and that is not counting the RPC dudes who are inactive as for the moment.
When RPC season starts, will it be single server (chaos) days again since population during those times are 5k – 7k approx? and we all know who bad it was during those times. X_X

If you will be creating new accounts because of excess characters, what will be the new user name and password? How do you ensure that the second account won’t have conflicts with other existing accounts?

its better to use the 600/600 kafra storage… but i think the problem would be on the part of LU Team, troubleshooting of items in case na magkaroon ng problema and the capacity of the server may increase so kailangan nilang mag upgrade ng mas mataas na capacity ng servers to accomodate ang pagtaas ng kafra storage. but in part of the players mas swabe yun kasi hindi na sila mamomroblema sa paglilipat ng gamit from one character to another para lang ma-satisfy yung kafra capacity limit sa server merge. and mas secure sila na walang mangayayring dagdag / bawas sa gamit kasi secure ang kafra storage.
how bout the 30k limit per item in the kafra storasge?
about the naming convention of usernames, Mang Kepweng is right, what if there’s username already available for your naming convention lioke the abovementioned “kepweng” username. what if there’s already kepweng2 username? without a doubt that will create problem. better anticipate that one.

same sa post ni kepwang. paano nga kung originally gumawa ka ng username “username” pero since gusto mo dati gawa ka pa isa pang account ginawa mo next na username is “username2″ tapos during those times lumipat ka sa ibang server na di mo alam sa sunod immerge pala yung dating server mo at yung current server mo. pagaralan niyo sana uli yan.

was there any grounds if ever character rename will be available after server merge? or will it be available to all accounts?
will it be character names only or usernames be included?
then what if i have a character here in chaos with this na”Nher`zul” and another in Loki with same name.

Tanung nyu naman po kung pwedeng damihan yung character slots….
1) Yung e-mail po nagloloko tama naman pero failed yung char deletion sayang tuloy yung slot….
2) Andami nang jobs… May taekwon,ninja at gunslinger na… Kawawa naman kami kung kakailanganin pa naming gumawa ng sandamakmak na account para lang sa bagong char….
3) Alam po namin na company ang LUG at aim nyo ang kumita… Pero i-consider nyo naman po ang mga customers nyo… sa mga x exp luge na kami pero andito pa rin ang iba sa amin nagtitiis… Di naman po cguro masama ang mamigay kayo ng times kahit konti…. Sigurado po dadami uli players niyo….
4) Maganda po ang sever merge pero po siguraduhin nyo lang po na hindi kilos pagong ang characters namin dahil sa sobrang lag…
5) damihan nyo po events para mas masaya… hehehehe

it would be better to enhance the kafra storage by 600/600 then you could change your name once you log in your character after merge is done because there is a high possibility that there would be dual names in both server….T_T and maybe RO players could say that they are just impersonating each other than that would be a bad influence to each players….it would also be better to enhance the character slot by a maximum slot of 10…not 9 because what if both servers hav 5 char in one account…than that would be a problem…another thing is that if u would want to have RO maintainance for 2days than that’s ok but make sure that after we log in our account, just make sure that there would not be a single problem that would be announced again ^^
