Has anyone here ever tried applying for a passport or VISA? Apparently it takes tons of requirements and despite all the help that we’re going to get from Gravity to expedite the process, it will still take a lot of time to accomplish. Out of the 7 members of Team Philippines (RWC), only a few have passports so we’re currently gathering all the requirements and trying our best to get things done so that we can already book the flight and hotel. I managed to get the list of requirements for a Korean VISA, check them out after the jump.
For Students:
Application Form
Birth Certificate
School Certificate
Passport Size Picture
Parents Bank Certificate
Parents Employment Certificate
Letter from the sponsoring company
Photocopy and Original PassportIf Personally Invited to Korea: Original invitation letter notarized in Korea & Photocopy of the invitor’s passport
If invited by company to Korea: Original invitation letter notarized in Korea & photocopy of the Korean Company business permit.
Wow – that’s a lot. @_@ The next list is for people who are already working.
For Working:
Application Form
Passport Size Picture
Photocopy and Original Passport
Employment Certificate with salary
Personal Bank Certificate
Individual Income Tax Return (Photocopy)If Personally Invited to Korea: Original invitation letter notarized in Korea & Photocopy of the invitor’s passport
If invited by company to Korea: Original invitation letter notarized in Korea & photocopy of the Korean Company business permit
The Philippine Team will go to DFA Friday to get submit their requirements for the passport. Only then can we gather everything listed above and then move on to apply for a Korean VISA. This is definitely one hell of a rush job. Hopefully we meet the deadlines or else we’ll end up taking a boat to Seoul, Lol.

Lol. Boat, huh? Why not? If it’s for RWC, hell, I’d do it in a flash. Hehe. Really a worthless comment, but I just wanted to post something since I don’t think people noticed this so much. @_@
On other matters, I hope that I get my EOHH quickly. I filed a ticket some time last week and the CS team replied that it was a fake. Lol. That ccan’t be because I bought it from the mall and I’ve got a Grey Devi Hat to prove it. Hahahaha. Ciao Wauks.

Dupe pala, not fake. Lol.

Guys it’s not that I don’t want to see your comments but the OT is really getting out of hand o_o;; I’ll have to review the comment policies for the blog to address this.
@Alex
Just send the screenshot of the credit history. Nakalagay naman dun how much you topped up on Rok Points. It would also help if you mentioned talaga what you bought.

mhuu~ on June 27, 2007

@wauks
i find that hard to believe… di ba your grand dad used to be the DFA secretary? a lil “pull” can do wonders… nde mo naman abuse eh. also, i think there’s a courtesy lane available for such need- like expeditious application and release of passports for members of teams that will represent the country provided an endorsement is presented. the catch tho lies with the needed requirements… especially for minors (underaged, below 18 /yo) coz you still have to get dswd travel clearance which has another set of requirements ( /swt )
as for the visas, as long as you comply with the requirements… overnight lang marelease din un. make the koreans (Gravity) do the follow up to their consulate here for easy release of your visas. /heh
good luck!

This is really made up of win. Maybe next time dapat mala MTV/Studio 23 approach. laging i remind na participants SHOULD HAVE a passport. LMAO ako pag wala tayo napadala sa Korea, sayang ang pagod and Hype.
Jaem on June 27, 2007
Shiseido on June 27, 2007
Dapat sinabi nyo na ang requirements bago nyo sinimulan yung tournament para nakapaghanda na yung mga contestants, knowing na siguradong pupunta sa Korea ang winners. Oh well, it’s LUG’s penchant for procrastination showing its ugly head again I guess. Or is it standard office procedure over there?
@DFA comment:
I don’t think the DFA has a say in this… it’s the Korean government’s requirements for their Visa, therefore dapat may hatak ka sa Korean embassy at hindi sa DFA.
…hey, at least it’s on topic.
macy on June 27, 2007
lam ko pag minors ang sa passport e mblis lang kasi may special lane ata cla dun, sa visas naman e hmm since invited by korea e mas mdli ito ^_^ hehe make them follow up sabi nga dun sa comment above…

why not try to ask the help of a travel agency. usually we asked the travel agency to do the processing of the passport of our friends and family. of course you have to pay the processing fee but the applicant don’t need to line up sa dfa and you can get the passport in 3 days.
just prepare all the requirements and the travel agency will do the rest.
whiteman on June 27, 2007
@ waukz
about the visa it’s the korean embassy who will give the visa for the applicant. madali lang ‘yon because official trip naman yon. BUT… the RO players need to have the passport first before they can ask for visa from Korean embassy.
again ask the help of travel agency for visa application. they will be the one also to process for visa application sa Korean embassy.
that’s what we are doing in the past and we can have the visa without going to any embassy ourselves.

First… MARAMING SALAMAT DAHIL WALANG NAG OT SO FAR T_T Well, almost all anyway. :heh:
Regarding the DFA thing – there’s no point in trying to do magic there even if you have contacts because they already streamlined the process. As long as you have the requirements it will probably take 3 working days before a normal person gets his/her passport. The real problem is the VISA. Hopefully everyone in Armada will be able to comply.
@Smiths
Your comment is simply priceless. lol
@Shiseido
Actually we could have announced that only peeps with passports can go but it would have alienated too many people and would have prevented normal gamers from participating in the tourney.

Aerionn Brightmoon on June 28, 2007
as long as three days is okay with you, then i guess it’s fine.
but there is a way (no magic involved), to get your passport much faster.

Passport application, nid mo lng ng aithenticated birth certificate form NSO, old school ID, company ID, SSS ID, Driver’s Liscense (government issued ID), passport sixe pictures, and other documents na proof na ikaw tlaga ung nagaapply. mabilis lng nmn ang passport process, nasa 3days ang pinakamabilis.
Visa application, nasa 1week lng process as long as may mga documents kang hawak. ito lng nid: employment certificate, bank certificate, photocop of income tax return, application form of visa, 1 passport size picture and you passport. usually, proof lng nmn nid ng mga embassy na babalik ka ng origin country mo eh. bank statement is the most important i guess (para sa capability mo to live in the said Coutnry). sicne may invitation nmn sila for the event, masmapapadali yan lalo na’t may schedule na ung tournament duon. pwede yan ipa expedite. paayos nyo samin yan para mabilis. i work in a travel agency kasi. hahaha /gg

Maybe because there are a lot of OTs because some of the “issues” that we want to hear are no where to be found even in RB. Like today, siege event for the week? eh mag start na siege in 30 mins but walang annoucement sa RB.
@topic
Gud luck sa Armada at sa mahabang paglalakbay.
Not kidding, seriously, GUD LUCK. as in more luck.
