The Customer Support department gave me an FYI yesterday that some players who bought the OST in Robinson’s Pioneer were asking for an update about the special premium headgear. I just want to assure everyone that the headgear will be inserted within the next two weeks. We’re actually patching the item tomorrow in Sakray then we’re planning to patch it in the main worlds next week. After it gets patched, we can easily insert it to everyone who bought during the recent events. Speaking of events, we’re having the first ever Monsters Strike Back event this Friday at the Big Fish Internet Hub in E.Rodriguez in QC. We’re going to be selling another 50 pcs of the Ragnarok OST there for 850.00 PHP so it’s your chance to get yourselves a copy. Take note that this is a limited edition item, and we’re running out on stocks pretty fast. I don’t think this item will reach LIVE anymore (which was the original plan).

I was going through the comments left in the original Monsters Strike Back post. Yralyn has left really good tips there for people who are planning to join and I’d just like to highlight the tips:
I can already guess five classes that’ll win:
* Ninja (Cicada Skin Shed + Mirror Image + mDEF gears and Hide + Shadow Leap + SP pots)
* Soul Linker (SP pots + DEF gears + magaling mag pilot = unkillable)
* Biochemist (AB spam + super efficient pots + tanker [Homunculus])
* Professor (Heal Clip + SW + Hide Clip )
* High Priest (+10 gears, Heal, SP pots, Assumptio, Basilica)Others just need overupped equips + White Pots, but these are the top 5 I can think of when it comes to survival probability. If most of the summons would be demon/insect/boss property however, I’d say Prof’s out, Ninja’s in danger but can still match the SL + Biochem + HP.
[ The only monsters I’d worry about would be those that spam spells and skills like crazy, but those are extremely rare and VERY far between… and pretty much anyone who can solo tank bosses (without boss cards and such) could pass this easily… ]
PvM survivability is pretty much a piece of cake, if you just know how (of course, I’m guessing that a lot of players who’d participate would have been PvP addicts + todo bot for so long, they’d probably have forgotten how to fight monsters…).
Star Gladiators with the right build + lots of HP / SP pots can also survive, basically killing monsters off before they could damage him/her
I hope there’s a PvP/PK function during the survival match, THAT would prove interesting
To answer your last question Yralyn, the survival match will be held in a PVP environment, which will definitely make this event insanely exciting and action-packed. Hopefully there won’t be a dull moment as the participants duke it out while facing the waves of monsters that are being unleashed by the GM Team.

Wauks baka naman puwedeng bumili ng kopya sa LUG mismo para sa mga taong nasa trabaho every time may event na ganito. I so desperately want to have one not for the headgear but for the CDs, pero nauubos ang mga kopya sa mga taong bumibili ng maraming kopya para lang makakuha ng headgear.
Sana hinypermart nyo nalang yung headgear para naman makakuha yung ibang fans ng RO OST at the same time yung gusto lang ang headgear puwede rin nila kunin sa hypermart. I mean, kung tutuusin nga yung ibang premium headgear sa hypermart promo item din yan ng RO merchandise diba?

who said the prof’s out? the prof is IN. given that he has lotsa pots (i can carry 400+ top 10 white slims a couple of sp pots) lots of cobwebs (i can bring around 250) and take on osiris and his mob and the normally spawned monsters within the area (or any other boss / mob for that factor) without them touching me. if ever they do, they won’t be dealing anything so much as to kill me or lessen my chances of survival. that, plus i don’t have safety wall, given that i’m a bolter. :gg:

i agree with shiseido, there are some people like me na not in for the fame of having the headgear but appreciating music in the ost… so could things like that be arranged? sell ost’s in the office. even if qc is far from makati from where i live, i would rather go to the office, been there thrice mind you hehe… niweis if not then no choice…

It saddens me that your promise of the the headgear insertion “within two-three weeks” will not come true. :sob: Even the prizes for the Robinson’s ragnarally event like the personalized Headgears for those who won in the raffle have not yet been completely inserted. I already filed a ticket to the customer support (Ticket 8Q9TA). Yep, some people have not yet received their prizes. It’s been exactly two weeks and five days since the event. :sob2: :sob2: :pah:

Yeah my bad on the comment on profs unable to survive without hide clip… sorry. Anyway, those are my top 5 picks on most likely to win, as this IS a no mastela + no slim whites + no yggseeds + no yggberries match.
However, there is a problem. Being in a PvP setting means that there will be only three likely survivors: SinXs, Biochemists, and Soul Linkers. Why? Because all the SinXs and Biochemists have to do is wipe out everyone else then outpot the monsters until the time runs out.
My suggestion is that you make it a WoE setting (minus the exp loss of course), because then the SinXs don’t have to go Soul Link + wipe the competition out, and Acid Bomb won’t be such a threat to players.
It’s those overpowered botted skills that kinda shift the balance out of other players’ favors, y’know…

nah.. as for me mejo mahirap na mag pilot ng maayos at mag skill spam considering there will be loads of monsters and lag could be a problem. without boss cards and super equips ? mastersmith with icepik + ck + hideclip is my bet. lalo na kung agi type .. o.O

Hmm, three Biochemists who party, summon geographers, potion pitch each other and their plant while bombarding everyone and everything with homunculus attacks and acid bombs… probably better than an Ice Pick bearing HSCR-spamming Mastersmith. Geos give massive heals and potion pitcher adds to the madness…
Oh, and if boss/insect/demon type monsters are summoned, Hide Clip becomes useless…
And since they never mentioned that partying isn’t allowed, that should make things MUCH more interesting :gg:
