Gaming: Ragnarok Online Update 4.25.07

I just came back from meeting with representatives from the Sakray contenders - Method and Midgard Rebellion. RPC is Sakray is really intense, and you could feel the tension in the room. I’ll be posting the transcript of their interviews soon Anyway, tomorrow is Wednesday again which means it’s update day. We will be adding a new item to the HyperMart and I’d like to thank everyone for pitching in the discussion during the sneak peek post. And the item that will debut tomorrow in the item mall is… *drum roll*

ITEM MALL UPDATE

MINI-PROPELLER

Abilities: AGI + 2, DEX + 1, flee + 10, and casting time decreases depending on how well the armor is refined”
Price: 10,000 Rok Points (500 PHP) - introductory, will increase to 14,000 RP after two weeks.

ITEM MALL STUFF NOW TRADABLE

Gravity just gave us a patch that makes the following items tradable/vendable/droppable starting tomorrow:

- Evolved Pipe
- Evolved Orc Hero Helm
- Mini Propeller

Can only be traded when still inside the box (once the box is opened, contents cannot be traded):

- Bubblegum
- Life Insurance
- Kafra Card
- Giant Fly Wing
- Convex Mirror
- Enriched Elunium

ELUNIUM SALE
As suggested by one of the posters here, we’re going to continue the sale of the Blessed Elunium. You will be able to buy it for 1,000 Rok Points instead of the usual 2,000. The exclusive Chaos server sale will be pushed to the following week because Gravity is still sorting out some minor problems with the servers.

With regards to the Game Time compensation (Chaos), I’ll know for sure by tomorrow (Wednesday). However, the 3x EXP for Chaos will kick-in tomorrow and will last until May 2. I can also give the Server Merge update by tomorrow evening. I was supposed to do that today but something came up that needed immediate attention. My apologies to all those who are expecting to read more on the merge today.

I’ll post again later tonight when I get home. I have a bunch of updates and issues I want to discuss with everyone (Item Mall, RPC 2007, etc.).

  5. @Waukeen: I will ask some members of MR what happened, and I do feel that there was indeed a tension going on between those two guilds, specially if a person by the name of *cough*Katsudon*cough* and is in that meeting.

Lydia rin ang hirap ng makapasok.lagi pang naddc eh 700+ n nga lng population namin naddc at mahirap makapasok at makaconnect. bat po ganun ano ba ang nangyari sa servers ninyo? ano po ba specs ng server nyo at bakit laging may naddc at halos ndi na makapaglog in para maglaro. baka nmn ginagawang pandownload ng mga movies at kung anu-ano pa ng mga IT team ninyo. e5 ag


  12. We managed to get one of the agit’s guarded by the MVP last 7mins

    before the time for War of Emperium expires. After that, most of

    players that char selected at the end WOE cannot connect. It seems

    there is a problem connecting though I managed to retain the

    connection until it got disconnected by it’s own. Sorry for using this

    blog to express my thoughts.

  15. This technical shiat is really getting out of hand. Don’t worry guys, I’ll spend a lot of time tomorrow talking with Gravity and the IT Team. Medyo busy talaga ako lately so all I can really do is to follow them up once in a while. I’m pushing for a project that I’m sure all of you will love once it gets approved. Konting antay na lang and I’m sure I can announce it na.

    Kaya nga po sabi ko tututukan ko yung servers tomorrow. heh Hindi ako part ng IT team so I really can’t help them fix it, pero I can be the ultimate uber kulit person that will bug them to hell and back to make sure everything runs smoothly tomorrow after maintenance.

  27. ayus naman sana sa services no. gitnang gitna ng WoE masisira mga geffen and brit maps sa iris. sana man lang ayusin na ang serbisyo no. pag napuno na ang mga nag titiis na players no, kayo rin ang talo.


  28. Guys let me just clear that we don’t want the servers to go down. We don’t like it when players complain, and no company in the right mind would want to have all of his customers leave. In a tech-dependent business like online gaming - bugs and downtimes happen. It’s something that even Blizzard can’t prevent 100%. This is not an excuse by the way, I’m just telling you the truth. I’ve been on both sides of the fence - I was a player just like all of you and believe me when I say that I was one of the noisiest players around. I complained more than all of you combined heh Tristan and the other veteran LU peeps can attest to that.

    You might ask though what’s the difference between now and before? I’d like to think that this time, Level-up reaches out more to the player. I want the RO Team to be more transparent to you, that’s why I keep this blog. And it’s not just with the problems that we encounter

    However, the most important point is that we know something is wrong and that we are doing everything we can to fix the problem. We’ve even brought in people from Gravity and ePLDT, hehe. When stuff like this happens - all we can do is fix it, apologize that it happened, *learn* from it and try to prevent it from happening again in the future.

    Thank you to everyone who understands us and my apologies to all of you who were affected by the recent technical difficulties.

    Lastly let me just say that if you have CS-related problems, please call the CS hotline or file a ticket. I’ve been getting comments from players about hacks, scams, and even change e-mail/password requests and I honestly cannot help you in that department. Also if a map goes down or your character gets stuck, ganun din dapat gawin nyo.

  37. e5 sa mga nanggugulo kay sir wauks, ano ba kau, hindi pa ba kayo na kontento na kahit papaano e me natatanungan tayo kung ano na nangyayari.. kung wala tong blog ni wauks matagal nang napanis mga laway ninyo kakarant ng walang kapararakan. bawi

    kahit magalit pa kayo, kung down ang server, down yan.. susko.. kahit ulanin ninyo ng mura ang LU, wala kayong naitulong sa pag-aayos.

    yung mga taong hindi marunong tumanggap ng simpleng sorry, at yung mga makikitid ang utak, kung hindi niyo makuha ung gusto ninyo, maging masaya kau sa kung anong meron kayo.

    I believe the LU peeps are doing their best. Although personally, I also thought they could do better.

    So Wauks, sana as you said, you guys up there really mean it when you say you’d prevent it from happening in the future.

  38. Alam naman namin na mayron talagang downtime bawat games. Ang nakakainis nga lang ay LUG na yata ang pinakamabagal ang response. Mas mabilis pa atang maayos yung private servers kaya yung ibang friends ko dun na lang naglalaro. Bat di kaya kayo gumawa ng parang logbook at lahat ng ma-encounter nyo na problems at solutions ay ilagay nyo dun para kung magpapalit man kayo ng tao ay mayron silang guide pag dumating yung same problem hindi yung “BACK TO BASICS” kayo lagi. e1 Yun lang po at sana di na siya buggy after maintenance.

    saludo ako sayo. kung gagawa ka ng private server mo, PLEASE inform me. if ever, i’m sure the community you’ll bring together will be as great as the service and support you give players in-game and otherwise.

  47. sir wauks~ all i want to know kung pano na po load namin na umabot ng tatlo at kalahating araw na d namin nalaro? tapos nakapag laro naman kami d naman sulit kasi naiipit ang chars namin sa mga sirang maps… meron po bang compensation dun? gusto ko lng po ma update kasi nag load po ako ng 4 accounts ko ni loadan ko last tuesday a night before masira ang Chaos para sana yun sa x2 pro wala po eh, nasira chaos…

    sorry po sa pag double post pro tingnan niyo po ulit server namin~ ung char ko pag log in ko “UNREGISTERED ID”… d ko na naman malaro mga chars ko nito buti na lng d ako ng load ng mga chars ko na kakaubos lng load kagabi~ pasabi na lng po sa IT TEAM niyo sana aminin na lng nila kung d na nila kaya ang problema na nangyayari sa server namin ng mapalitan niyo na sila ng mas nakababagay sa trabahong yan na MARUNONG talaga umayus ng sira jan ksa naman ganito ng ganito palagi at paki sabi na rin sa management ng LUG na pki balik na din ng LOAD namin last week kasi wala naman kami nagamit dun eh, kung nka log in man kami, max of 5 hours na cguro tapos masisira na naman isang map at ma trap kami, pera po yung ginamit namin dun at d naman namin nagamit ng maayus.. sana po maintindihan mo bakit kami ngkakaganito mga player niyo sa chaos server pif


  49. guys remind ko lang din ulit na hindi natin taga update ng nangyayari sa server natin si waukeen, pag nagkakaroon kayo ng problema maglog in sa Chaos or naddc yang mga bot ninyo, i assume niyo na dahil meron paring konting mga problema.

    hindi niyo sasabihin dito para lang makakuha ng sagot.
