One of the most striking features of Ragnarok Online 2 is the wide range of emoticons that players can use. Players can actually dance, laugh, cry, and do a lot more stuff that other games won’t allow you to do normally. To emphasize this, Gravity came out with 4 “home made” videos of Ragnarok Online 2 using the emoticons. Since user-generated content is a huge hit these days, I’m sure a lot of people will appreciate this development. Anyway, you can watch the four Love Story videos made by Gravity after the jump. It’s in Korean but I have plans of having this translated and edited into English so that everyone can understand it.

Amazing. You’re right, that’s a lot of expressions. Are they still ‘emoticons’ though? You seem to have detached the concept from icons to expressions. Either way I’m sure it will be a blast. :heh:
How on earth are you going to key-bind all those though? I had trouble enough with the regular RO ones, never really used more than two or three.
Perhaps a little innovation is in order here. Look at these videos for instance. Dialogue/emoticons can be pulled off as fluidly as seen in these videos, but I imagine it would require fast multitasking between at least two windows.
Why not let anchor tags in single chat lines trigger certain emoticons? For example, things like “>Hello.
” or “>Sorry about that. T.T”. The tags being the 
and the T.T of course. Regular expressions.
