Let’s take a break from the RWC madness currently gripping the community. Level-up recently partnered with SM Super Malls for a series of mall events this June. This Wednesday, Ragnarok Online will invade Mall of Asia! Other than being one huge EB party, we’re also going to have the Monsters Strike Back event, Sumo Poring Tournament, Top-up Pick a Prize, and several RO bands will also be performing to keep the atmosphere rocking all day long. By the way, here are some tips that I can share with everyone for the Monsters Strike Back event.

Before we go to the tips, here’s the link to the official announcement of the event at the Ragnarok website. The announcement includes a map just in case you guys don’t know how to go there.

Event Mechanics

1. Players must sign-up at the registration area and present an unused 100 php Level Up! Game card.
2. A total of 20 registered participants are needed per server before the survival event can begin.
3. Participants will be allowed to set-up their items for 5 minutes. After which characters will be summoned to the Event Arena and later checked by the Event Vanguard. Click Here for the list of banned items.

*In the event that an illegal item is seen, that participant will be disqualified.

4. After the item check, participants will be subjected to 5 waves of monsters whose interval will last for 3 minutes.
5. Survivors will be checked after 20 minutes. The last man/men standing are the event survivors.
6. Prizes are subject to the # of survivors.

· Strike Back Survivor. This if only 1 survivor emerge. 1,000.00 Php, 1,000 Top-up card and a +9 Premium Headgear of Choice.
· Strike Back Fighter. If 2 – 3 survivors emerge. 500.00 Php, 500 Top-up card and a +7 Premium Headgear of Choice.
· Strike Back Rebel. If 4 – 7 survivors emerge. 100 Top-up card and a Valkyrie Head band.
· If 8 or more survive the Strike back siege. No winner will be declared.

The most important tip I can share with you guys is to come in as a party or guild. If you’re going to come in as just one player with a full defensive set-up, you’ll end up getting overwhelmed by the monsters that will be summoned by the GMs. Take note that if you’re a SB Champion or even a Cicada Ninja, you have no chance in hell of killing all the monsters that will be on the offensive. A High Priest and High Wizard combo with a Devo Paladin will defintely rule this event. Surviving is just one aspect of the game - don’t forget that you have to kill the monsters too!
