When Gravity announced that they would start developing Ragnarok Online 2: Gate of the World, a lot of gamers around the world were really happy. However, there were some people who were also nervous and those gamers are the ones who are avid fans of Ragnarok Online 1. The most pressing issue and question that was raised was would support for RO1 stop when RO2 came in? This even became a bigger issue when Gravity announced that they would no longer support ROSE with development. Fortunately for all the RO Gamers, Gravity has assured all of us that they will continue to support RO with fresh content every quarter! It’s their flagship game and they will make sure that it continues to live on as one of the most successful global online games. In the Gravity Festival, they shared with the publishers from various countries their development plans and they also showed us their timelines.

RAGNAROK DEVELOPMENT TIMELINE
- SIEGE 1.5 - September 2007
- EPISODE 12 (Includes Instanced Dungeons) - October 2007
- BATTLEFIELD PVP SYSTEM - November 2007
- SIEGE 1.5 Part 2 - December 2007
- EPISODE 13 (Includes 3rd Jobs) - Q1 2008

*Take note that the said dates are applicable only to Korea.

What do these timelines mean to us here in the Philippines? It’s quite simple actually - it means that the development plans are true and they are confirmed! We’ll be hearing more about the actual mechanics and features when they are implemented in Korea. It will only take some time before they’re actually brought here in the Philippines. Take note that we’re already going into Episode 11.1, and we’re also planning to do 11.2 before the year ends! Come 2008, we’ll be launching Episode 11.3 and that means Episode 12 will probably launch Q2 of 2008.
