Gaming: Ragnarok Dupe Wipe Verification - 20
In my recent post, I asked players to post information about their tickets so we can really investigate if the dupe wipe was flawed. I picked the first 20 people with correct and complete information and I’ve already forwarded their cases to the GM Team for immediate investigation. As the days go by, I’ll be posting the results. I have a feeling that when everyone was clamoring for a wipe, they underestimated how deep the dupe bug is. Please see below for the list of 20 players that were forwarded to the GMs as of today.

Ung +10 Cranial Guard ko naka equip lang dun sa HW ko na nasa orcsdun02 at that time. tapos nag character select po ako saglit kasi may pinasa akong gamit from my other character to my creator na nasa same account na to ( pangalan nung creator is: (^_^)Hot_Vend0(^_^) ). Tapos when i checked my character kasi aayusin ko yung pwesto nya, wala na po yung +10 Cranial Guard. Yung +10 Cranial Guard po na yun ay binili ko lang po. Binili ko po siya +10 Guard [1] palang. Di ko na po matandaan kung kelan ko xa binili. Pero ang alm ko lang, ngayon lang xa nawala.

Oh we never underestimated the dupe wipe wauks. You very well know that. Pinakinggan nyo kasi yung mga miron na walang mawawala kaya nagsasalitang gusto nila ng dupe wipe.

That’s why I’m asking for people to post their cases in my previous entry. I’m looking for people who have real cases of wiped legit items. So far kasi all of the cases we’ve been receiving are confirmed duped equips. It’s really frustrating man not just on your end but on ours as well because it was a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation. It was a decision that we had to take because if we didn’t do the wipe, then there would be hundreds, if not thousands of boss cards flooding the market today.
Since you’ve been a very sensible reader and commentor, I’d like to offer you something. If you’re okay with the idea, file a ticket now and give me your ticket number and I’ll include you in the 20 list. That way we can determine if your items were really duped or not. I still need to see a solid case wherein the script wiped a legit item - because Gravity is insisting that the wipe only affected duped equips. Filing a ticket and giving me something to work on is infinitely better than just complaining. :(

yung iba naman na ganyan mga dupers din baka lang yan makalusot sila. (ung iba ha not all)
-ban niyo kung knino galing coz kawawa naman yung mga innocent players.
-sa tingin ko habang wala pa yung anti-dup na sinasabi niyo, patuloy parin na magkakaroon ng walaan ng items kasi patuloy parin ung mga dupers even if nagwwipe kayo.

I hope your “investigator” was alot better than the one who “investigated” our account. Check http://ragnaboards.levelupgames.ph/index.php?showtopic=42114 for details. Anyways the GIST of it is that when he opened the characters inventory and saw powerful equips he immediately concluded that ALL the items were dupes and the only way to unban the account was to do a TOTAL ITEM WIPE. Well FYI NONE of the equips were deleted after the Emergency Maintenance yesterday (except a +9GTB guard that belonged to our GM that I was stashing for him). Please hire COMPETENT PEOPLE. Btw the guy we talked to was named ACE.

I hate what the outcome is with this dupewipe out I lost my SGH and my +9GTB guard wtf is happening to PRO there is no justice in what you are doing to the people who are paying you the right amount and they couldn’t even have justice in what is happening on their accounts I got my +9 GTB guard a Year a go then give me a freaking reason why my +9GTB guard got lost thank you for wasting my precious time and my money

I also lost my +9 Green Boots, and the fact that I bought the +9 Boots (without card) last 2005. after I won my 500M in the 12 days of christmas event, dec 2004, then I bought the +9 boots[1] the next year, i can’t remember if it is January or February. Back then +9 boots costs 90m - 100m, I plan to buy +10Boots[1] but I bought also my pole axe [1] back then. then when I plan to siege yesterday (tuesday), I put my siege gears and my +9 Green Boots was not there! Please check the ticket I already filed my ticket just now, 3:52AM. here’s the ticket number: 93YTV.
Now, I am the greatest negator in your blog, and I think this will not be given enough attention. I understand that, this maybe your way of “taking your turn”. Anyway, just want you to know how “perfect” your script is. It must be programmed to clean all the necessary items, so that players will again start from scratch.
Again, my +9Boots [1] that I put a Matyr Card on it, was deleted by your script. The item was way present from 2004, but then your script detects it as “dupe”? @#&$!

Its not just freya who experienced the wipe of legit gears. Check also the other server. My only valid and legit situation is that I won 500m on the 12 Days of Christmas event, December 2004, then I bought my +9 Boots [1] the next year, January or February 2005. I even have the screenshot together with the GM.

what i observed in the script, s that it only eliminates the +9’s up and/or it will eased your overups when inside kafra and not during the time you are wearing it. i lost mine when i put it into kafra, but not when it was equipped.

Please just answer it either True or False Fact.
If False, please explain the reason why.
1)Authentic items are not included in deletion, unless it’s been used for duplicating.
2)Only duplicate equips/cards and the authentic
equips/cards used to duplicate are deleted.
3)Sad to say, other items such as yggdrasil berry, poison bottles, gold and other consumables that been duplicated are not included in the duped wipeout.
4)Are accounts which doesn’t possess any duped
items or even had a trace of it but recieved
zeny from the duped accounts. Thus, the said
accounts are not banned.
5)There’s no assurance of security of buying equips/items at the moment since there’s still duped even after the duped wipeout.
6)Dupers that making false claims and
sends ticket to CS and have enough proof to
be regarded innocent and in the later they
get compensated.

Actually I’d prefer it if the “negators” were the ones who came forward with cases that I can look into, hehe. Consider yourself included in the 20 list. The investigation will take some time though seeing as you bought it 2005? We can only immediately process players who lost items that they got 2 months prior to the wipe.

So, items bought around the year 2004-2005 got wiped? Simple explanation. Those items were the “mold” upon which the duplicated items were cloned from. Of course, now they will share the same id and Gravity’s anti-dupe script will detect them.
When an item is cloned there is no more “original” item - both are considered as dupes.
That is what Wauks meant when he said “players underestimated how deep the dupe bug is.”
The only safe items you can be 99% sure won’t be wiped are those items you hunted for yourself.

If the issue is really old bakit ngayon lang kaya gumawa ng action? Dahil super rampant na? So dapat hintayin muna maging rampant?
Another thing. Why is it that every announcement LU makes is so vague. Is this really customer satisfaction? or LU didnt apply that principle with customer relations?

I can’t really say tofhz about the action because this is an issue that stretches back to even before I came to LU. What the previous peeps did then, I really had no idea. However, when I signed up last November, what we did was we were able to make measures that stopped duping during controlled and emergency server maintenances. When that happened, we just cracked down on dupers afterwards. When the problem re-surfaced due to the crashing maps (we can’t stop the dupe if the map crashes on its own), we had an emergency meeting and decided to push through with the wipe while waiting for Gravity to deliver the final fix.
With regards to announcements being vague, can you give me an example? It’s hard to commit good dates for some announcements because of the dependencies we have with the developer. I’m sure other games have the same problems - it’s more of an industry issue.
Lastly - on customer satisfaction, that’s the main reason why this blog exists. It acts as a gateway for you guys to have a voice so we can act on issues that majority of you deem “hot”. Medyo may pagka weird lang yung “Damned if you do, damned if you don’t” na sinasabi mo kasi Wauks e. First of all, if all the items were deleted were KNOWN or POSSIBLY dupes, malamang walang masyadong magagalit. Siguro dadami lang ang tickets saying “Nawala yung ganito ko kadeal ko si ganiyan” pero inde e. First of all, I lost an icepick, yes an icepick na AKO MISMO ANG GUMAWA using the mjolnir seal quest. So ano ibig sabihin nyan? Random deletion? Impossible na duped yun UNLESS the quest now gives out DUPED items.
Hindi na ako magfifile ng ticket. :) Reading how you easily pass the blame to us when in fact you have been deleting LEGIT items left and right shows us what we could expect from this game. Kung honest lang sana ang mga tao dyan in saying that “Sorry, di lang pala duped ang nabura nung program, pati mga items na feeling nya e dupe” siguro medyo may matutuwa pa. Ticket? What ticket? E prize nga lang sa isang contest nyo last April e di nyo pa maibigay, compensation pa kaya? Transfer load nga lang, 2 months yung nawaldas sa isang NOVICE character while my main char had 2 hour load, di nagawa, something this grave pa kaya?

yeah, its 2 year old +9 boots [1], bought it January or February, I personally (I mean, my character), put the card Matyr in it. Then yesterday, Kaboom! It was gone in my storage. I even used it before the 3x modifier, and after that, back to kafra. somehow, got relieved for what you said. if it will took time, go on, at least, I have aproof to hold onto. Wag lang sana abutin ng RO2 ng hindi pa nasosolve.

paki-explain po ang ibig sabihin nito:
“If you lost an item which you got anytime from April 19, 2007 to June 19, 2007, your ticket will be resolved with a minimum of 4 weeks depending on the amount of cases that we receive. Players with items lost prior to that date will be processed afterwards but it will take another 3-4 weeks after the first batch.”
-as i understand it, LUG will prioritize the items that got acquired just recently right? but if you think about it, recently acquired items have a higher chance of being duped ones. (may it be known or not known to its owner) logically speaking, it does follow. i don’t get why items acquired before the said date is given less priority. the item/s that a lot of people lost have been with them for a long time. the one i lost is actually an antique already. needless to say, 3-4 weeks or 6-8 weeks is a terribly LONG wait. agit lords pa naman ngayon, im sure of all people, you understand the advantage of having good gears to those who dont have them (anymore).
you need to speed up with whatever it is that you are doing because sooner or later, people will get tired of reading this famous line in your website: “We apologize for the inconvenience and are grateful for your support.”

I posted a comment sa Ragnarok Dupe Wipe Verication article before this one.
