Since the Level-up Elevation Trade Launch, a lot of gamers and internet cafe owners have been asking me when Ragnarok Online 2 will launch here in the Philippines. I actually had my doubts that we could launch it this year, especially since Gravity is taking such a long time in developing the game. However, for the first time I can confidently say that we will see pRO2 this year! Read on to find out what happened this morning.
The following is a short transcript of my MSN chat with Kay, the Gravity point person for pRO2:

If so, I will contact RO2 team and ask current situation
This means that I’ll be one of the very first pinoy gamers to try out Ragnarok Online 2 (in english too, haha)! I’ll get screenshots and videos so that I can share it here with everyone. The sad news is that we still don’t have a formal launch date. Hopefully I can have that ironed out with Kay this week.

Also it is said there are tons of quests for RO2 similar to WoW. Why don’t they also make an episode full of quest for pRO and this should make things interesting other than level grinding on monsters all the time…

I have no idea why even their international professionals are finding it hard to speak english. Heck, my brothers and I even encountered a korean noodle product that had the “Cooking Instrustions” title translated as “Edibility Method”. Oh boy.

Level-up will continue to support Ragnarok because it’s the breadwinner and it is still the biggest game in the Philippines. When Ragnarok 2 comes out, I honestly believe that Ragnarok 1 will continue to be a major player in the local gaming scene.

I think english-based RO2 clients will debut (Closed,Open betas) at almost the same time. Btw, our Game Testers have been playing CBT3 since it opened. Ill get screenies and videos from them tomorrow and post here.

I played KRO2 with lvl 20 recruit. I stopped a month ago dahil napaka konti ng players… at hanggan ngayon wla parin 2nd and 3rd race. if they plan on releasing it this year with it’s current state it would be a mistake in my opinion dahil marami pa silang kelangan itupad na promises nila.
