Gaming: Halo-halo in Ragnarok!

When I said that one of my goals in pRO is to make it more localized and more Pinoy, I wasn’t kidding. We’ve already seen the People Power and Ati-atihan events. Both events are very Filipno, and I’m pretty sure that most of you guys have heard of ‘em. However, it doesn’t stop there! Now you will something even more familar! You’ll see this plastered all over the country in Chowking’s billboards and commercials. It is with great pride and pleasure that I present to you the latest PINOY event of Ragnarok Online…

Hindi lang po CHOWKING ang may halo-halo pag summer! In the next few weeks, you will be able to make halo-halos in Midgard! WTF!? Hahahaha! The quest is pretty simple. Here is what you need to do!

Talk to Aling Razon (jawaii 182, 169) and tell her that you want to help her make a Halo-Halo. The she will ask you to bring 1 Kaong, 1 Gulaman, 1 Leche Flan, 1 Ube, 1 Jam, 1 Sago, 1 Langka, 1 Sweet Beans, 1 Sweet Banana, and 1 Macapuno. The ingredients will be dropped by pre-determined monsters. When the quest is activated in the main worlds, I’ll be more than happy to post which monster drops what. Once you complete the quest, she will give you 5 pcs. of Halo-halo.

Hope you guys enjoy this event. I’m not sure yet though when it will come out. Probably sometime in the middle of April. I’ll post one more new NPC event tomorrow (Tuesday). We still have the Pinoy Rok Star, Easter, and the April Fools events.     as my suggestion in RB:

    sana pde cya i-upgrade. adding ice cream on it, then making the lasting effect to be 15mins instead of 10mins.


  5. Hahaha! Aling Razon! I wonder if the Razons of Pampanga will appreciate this or maybe charge you for using their name. Hehe. :P But they really make good halo-halo.

    at napansin ko din, bat hindi kailangan ng ice cubes diyan? eh dapat kailangan yun diba? para lumamig? =p


  9. Maybe the upsize can be a follow-up quest, hehe. Anyway, we more localized NPC events coming up soon. Hopefully you guys will enjoy them as much as we have enjoyed making ‘em! Also we’re currently finalizing the mechanics for the Headgear Making contest, so you’d better watch out for that one. :)

    Yup it stacks with food items. So you can actually get up to +13 on one stat o_o;

  20. Nice. Just a few questions. What monsters drop each item? And, after the event duration (ilang weeks nga ba?), will the halo-halo still work (add +3 to all stats) or madidisable na yung effect nung item?

  24. This is a very frustrating quest. Ang baba ng drop rate ng mga needed items sa halo-halo. Feeling ko card ang hinahanap ko. Mauubos ang 8 hour load dito bago makumpleto mga items! To think di pa ito puwedeng ulitin. Sana normal drop lamang itong items for halo-halo. Mas madaling bumili at kumain na lang ng tunay na halo-halo! :)


  25. I made 200pcs. But I got so disappointed after testing Halo-halo.
    Stack with food? Lies. When you use a +10 to stat food then you use Halo-halo, vice versa, you don’t get +13 to stats. For example you use a STR +10 food item, then you use Halo-halo, you only get +10 to the stat. All stats are given +3 except STR. If you use the Halo-halo first, that’s +3 to all stats, then you use your STR +10 food item, all you get is +7 not +10. This sucks. >.

    nakapatay na ako ng 500+ poison spore, not a single drop of gulaman… hayz.. wtf!?

  28. I love this quest. I made 30 but I didn’t use any of them. They’re in my ref -este- my Kafra storage along with my 6-pack of Coke and People Power Bandana and assorted Kalabasa. @@ heh
