Gaming: Episode 11.1 Rachel on Sakray
If you guys haven’t read the update on the final resolution to the rollback, please read my earlier post - Ragnarok Update (6-13-07). Let’s take a break from all the stress and problems and discuss something else for now. As most of you guys know, we’re preparing for the next update for Philippine Ragnarok Online - Episode 11.1: Rachel. I think I’ve discussed all the features of the patch already and you can also do your own research by going through the numerous fan sites that are up like the RO Wiki or Doddler. This is a good way to earn zenny especially if you prepare the ingredients for the new quest headgear that will come out. The question now is when will Rachel actually be on Sakray or the commercial servers?
Rachel will be applied to Sakray on June 27, 2007. That pretty much means that we will be wiping Sakray again to give way for the testing. If we follow the usual 2-month preparation time, we can safely say that Rachel will launch on main worlds around September. I can’t give a definite date yet for that one but at least you guys have an idea of how long you’ll have to wait before the next patch comes out.
Lastly, I’ll be out on normal work hours starting today until Friday. I’ll be attending a Marketing Strategy Seminar at Mandarin Hotel hosted by Mansmith and Fielders (Josiah Go). I’ll be only able to post and update the blog in the evening when I get home. OT lang po kasi this is very important. Napaka dalas po ng disconnections since nag up ang server sa Freya. Baka gamitin na naman ng dupers to exploit.
Nung una akala ko ako lang. I checked with my other guildmates. Sila din nadi-dc ng madalas. What’s weird about it was it happened when 2k+ palang mga online.

Just make sure not to buy anything. We’ll be doing the wipe soon so it really doesn’t matter if they dupe now or tomorrow. I’ve already asked the GM Team to do a frequent advisory broadcast with regards to that. If you have suspects, feel free to report them. If you don’t want to go through the entire CS thing, then send me the character name and server via the contact form in this blog and I’ll forward it to the GMs for investigation.
On the latency and DC not just for Freya but for all servers, Gravity already isolated the problem. They’re working on the fix as we speak. Once they give the fix, we’ll apply it asap.
Lastly - wag na po tayo OT~. Hehe. Alis na rin ako, punta seminar. :)

same here… ausin nyo muna lahat ng dapat ausin sa game saka na ang rachel… same thing with your “in-game pakulo”, bilisan nyo pagbibigay ng prices hindi po ung nakukuha pang magalit ng players sa bagal ng service nyo…

all problems are getting piled up.
no permanent solution yet and here they go again, doing what they want to do without solving the problem in-hand first. all they give are temporary solutions to whatever problems they are facing.
haaays, parang wala pang 1 year ang pRo ah, lahat tumanda na d2 pero ang LU laging bago pagdating sa mga problema.

im suspecting that i bought a dupe item around june 1-4. will the item be wiped out? will there be a compensation for the item?

Sir last June 12 in URDR was marred by massive disconnection in prontera map during the seige around 9:20pm-10:05pm.We from Gungnir guild of URDR would like to request that the seige during that day be not counted in the scoring of RPC coz it’s a bit unfair for all those guilds that uses prontera map as thier save pt.Tnx and were hoping that you’ll do appropriate actions about the disconections of such magnitude.These is the first time that it happened in our server since the beta days hope that you fix those problems ;so that future occurence will not destroy the integrity of the game.

eh well. what can we do? at least about the roll back issue… roughly 600 comments on both this blog and GM Tristan’s blog. Plus those really pissed off souls who stormed the LUG office helped get the point through. The thing is, it’s those damned Koreans that keep the game to an update schedule… and they don’t give time for the people here to make sure that all the bugs have been ironed out of all the updates.

sorry, madami pa din talagang mag-oOT sa mga posts mo. what do you expect from all that aggravation? did you know that it took my friend roughly FIFTEEN tries to patch the game from the Noghaltz CD? that’s because there were no Hugel CDs available and the first time he tried to update the game, the new patches crashed.
a lot of us here have read all the cool maps, monsters, and stuff coming up with Rachel.
but what good is all of that stuff if the pre-existing problems have not been resolved?
it’s like digging an ever deeper hole, don’t you think?

You don’t need marketing seminars when everyone knows exactly what is hindering LUG’s growth: Poor customer service. Canned email replies. Poorly-trained and uninformed CSRs. Triple-extended and vague maintenance periods. Underperforming and unprofitable brands from its pre-merger past that simply NEED to be discontinued so LUG can focus on its more popular core games.
Focus more on solving current problems, and an increased player base will fall into place along with more satisfied players which will lead to more profits as current and new players spend more money on topup.
