    As you should all know by now, we’re having the Ragnarok World Championships this year! We will be sending a 7-man team to Seoul Korea in July. The pRO Team already has finalized the selection process which will involve the RPC Agit Lords scoring system and the past two RPC winners. We’re going to seed them randomly in an 8-team bracket single elimination tournament and the best team will be sent to Korea as the official Philippine representative. I’m confident that we have a good chance, seeing as we’ve been an RO country for almost 5 years already!

    I was also able to get the list of countries that were invited to participate in this year’s RWC. With further delay, here are the combatants for the biggest online gaming tournament in the world!

    - Korea
    - USA
    - Russia
    - France
    - Japan
    - Thailand
    - Taiwan
    - Brazil
    - Indonesia
    - Philippines
    - Vietnam
    - Singapore
    - Malaysia
    - Germany

    That’s 14 countries! Suffice to say, whoever wins can really say that they are the best in the world.

    By now you’re also probably wondering what the prize is for RWC? I’m still talking to Albert (Gravity) about that so nothing is final yet. However he did say that the total prizes can go up to 25,000 – 30,000 USD. That’s roughly 1.5M PHP in cold hard cash.

    Before I end this post, let me encourage everyone to go to the RWC 2007 kick-off part on May 19. You can check out the details of the event by clicking here.

      Why is India not on the list? Isn’t it an RO country, too? :gg: Or, maybe…*insert demonic laughter*

    • pinkbits on May 6, 2007

    • Untouchables on May 6, 2007

    • Macy on May 6, 2007

      naku sana!! e d ba may ibang jobs n ata ung ibang countries?

    • Wauks on May 6, 2007

      The mechanics will allow for a levelled playing field. Pwede lang ata gamitin are transcendant jobs. Hindi kasama yung mga expanded job classes (Ninja, Taekwon, etc.). When I finalize the mechanics with Gravity I’ll post ‘em here. :no1:

    • SniperAngel on May 6, 2007

      :sux: Expanded Classes will add flavor and more diverse gameplay sana to RWC kaso wala pa atang Expanded Class series yung iba. So back to classics, but I’m expecting more effective strategies and never-before-seen game mechanics.

      Godspeed for Team Philippines. :go: :flag:

    • Wauks on May 6, 2007

      Sana nga “we take home the bacon”. :no1: :flag:

    • Arthur Sinclair on May 6, 2007

      If the expanded chars will not be used, the Philippine team should have the advantage. :heh: I mean, matagal na ang classic chars in pRO, so the guilds should have mastered the ways on how to maximize using them, right?

    • Wauks on May 6, 2007

      @Arthur
      Yup. Sana nga we win this one. I’m really hoping that we place at least somewhere in the top 3. Let’s all hope for the best!

    • Paul on May 6, 2007

      I can’t promise anything. :heh:

      @kulugo

    • ???? on May 7, 2007

      wa. 7 man team X_X

    • grounder on May 7, 2007

      @sir wauks
      d po ba 9 man team yung RPC? wakoko, yan last years right? pero ngayun 7 man team na lang? :@@:
      mas maganda po sana kung 7 man team na yung RPC :D

    • Wauks on May 7, 2007

      Yung RWC 7 man team. Yung RPC sa Level-up LIVE malamang 9-10 man team. Andami kasi bagong classes so we have to factor that in for RPC. Sa RWC kasi transcendant jobs only – so walang soul linkers, ninjas, gunslingers, and taekwons.

    • Talangka on May 7, 2007

      Kala ko kasama Iraq, sayang!

    • Wauks on May 7, 2007

    • ???? on May 7, 2007

      sir wauks, we’re looking forward to having more than a 9 man team ( sana 10-11) kasi like what you said, maraming bagong classes like soul linkers and such
