Gaming: Bayantel Advisory & RWC Update

I just got back from the seminar. It was pretty cool and it was a bit weird because some representatives from our competitors were also present. I wasn’t able to discuss my brand in detail with the speaker (in public anyway) because of that. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be able to corner the guy and get some more quality time with him alone, lol. Anyway, I just met with Pao, the new head of IT for Level-up Games. I discussed Bayan Tel DC problem with him because apparently our CS is being swamped already with complaints. Let me just clarify that this issue is not with LU and we’ve already escalated it to Bayantel for their immediate action and resolution. Next up, I’d like to congratulate Armada from Baldur for winning the Ragnarok World Championship Wild Card! They’ll be part of the 8-team tournament which will take place this weekend. For more details on that, just head on over to the official Ragnarok website and check the announcements section.

Regarding the server elimination videos, we’re almost done editing them. We’ll upload them on YOUTUBE tomorrow at the latest. We’ll do it by batch since there are simply too many videos. We will also be capturing the action between Hatred and ANL tonight, as well as the RWC Tournament this weekend. I’m currently writting a follow-up e-mail to Gravity right now regarding the Dupe script as well as the map crashing in Freya. Once I get feedback from them, I’ll post it here.

  4. Yep pretty much. IT and ePLDT already checked our lines and there seems to be no problem unless you guys are on Freya. Freya keeps getting DC’d lately but Gravity is already working on that one as I type. Since we already sent Bayantel a letter, they should get to working on it soon. Thanks for the tip guys.

  6. oh well well.. ive already called bayantel.. sabi nila mukang sa kanila nga yung may prob… dahil since pldt daw ang nag hohost ng RO… baka nag kakaroon daw ng problema ang bayantel sa pag connect sa host… and they’re working on it na daw… @@

    sana maayos na nila agad… para ma sulit yung X3 gg

    question lang po.. kung ang problem ay nasa bayantel.. how come the connection only drops on LU related connections? our downloads are fine.. our video streams are fine.. our browsing seems to fine as well.. pag dating sa LU games… DC every 10mins.

  10. i think the problem with freya is, unlike other servers, lets say

    compared to baldur, the dupers in freya are more *competent* meaning, lets say, a fourth of their server knows how to dupe items unlike in the other commercial servers. actually, many people have been IMing me through YM, and most of my Freyan friends on my friendster account have these dupe bragging pictures posted.

    its their fault, maybe its better to delete the accounts of the dupers, or any other account related to them, totally banning every connection and such.

  13. It’s a problem with Bayantel’s line to LU or LU’s line to Bayantel. The one who has to fix it is Bayantel o_o Antayin na lang natin guys. We already gave them a notice.

  15. pede ba wag kau maturuan? kakatawag ko lang sa bayantel - 751-9611 and I did a follow up d2 sa report na ginawa kanina with regard to this issue (rep# 9108572 ) and I was able to talk to a supervisor named Vince.

    According to him marami na sila nakukuha na calls tungkul sa issue na ito so they decided to coordinate with their network group (unlike LUG.. pede mo pagkatiwalaan ang salita ng bayantel) and they checked the link but they were not able to find any congestion or any possible problems… what they were able to see was that they’re connection was being drop from LU’s end and according to them this usually happens if their IP is being blocked.

    You send them a notice? proof pls.

    My friend right this very minute got disconnected from RO, it happens every few minutes. And his ISP is not bayantel, it’s PLDT.


  18. mYRUz, if you can’t take my word for it I’m sorry man. Pero yun na talaga yun. As for the supervisor that you talked to, he’s not in charge of the technical department of Bayantel, he’s a customer support agent. @_@ If you are really desparate though for proof, you can go to LU and I can introduce you to the IT head so he can tell you that he coordinated with Bayantel already.

    Let’s just wait for them to fix it because our IT head already coordinated with them and they will be the ones to apply the fix, not us.

    Dude pano naman mangyayaring Bayantel ang may problem if you did not do anything to the servers.

    May tweaked na configuration jan kaya ganyan. PLDT knew about it but not Bayantel.

    Its impossible na walang nangyari kasi before the maintenance naman hindi ganyan. sob

    hindi nmn masama na aminin ng LU na me pagkakamali sa side nila e unless talagang gusto nilang isipin nating mga customers na inaccurate and insufficient ang knowledge ng mga IT nila

  30. I dont think bayantel ang my problema dyan, ang tagal tagal ko na pong bayantel 3years na po pro ngaun lng na DDC ng subra ok sana khit evert 10mins mag dc pro hindi eh wala pang 1min dc na at pag minalas ka pa seconds lng dc ka na

    Sa palagay ko Levelup and PLDT ang my problema kc since nag maintenance kau nung wednesday dun na nagsimula ang virus na DC ng DC.

    Un ba ang way nyo to prevend duppers? Na every single minutes na DDC?

    antayin? til when?! and NO! that is not the “important” thing.. what I would consider “important” is the face that this issue has been going on for more than 24hrs and hangang ngayun wala pa rin resolution at hangang ngayun inde nyo pa rin alam kng ako ang cause n2.. at hangang ngayun nagtuturuan pa rin kayo ng bayantel.

  42. Sorry, I’m really irritated. I can surf, I downloaded really quick via torrent, but I can’t even last 6 mins in Ragna. That really makes me think that the problem isn’t with my Modem, Router or Internet provider.

    I was hoping to enjoy the exp mod and get to 90. Buuuuuuuut, nevermind.

    wauks same problem sakin. dont think BAYANTEL may problem kase surfing and other games walang problema in fact mabilis nga e. talagang sa LUG lang nag ddc and this happened after maintenance. paki ayus naman kase sayang load ng mga tao kung ganung klaseng gameplay lang makukuha. nag bigay pa kayo x3 experience yung iba di makikinabang. i dont think this is the kind of service paying customers should get.

    isa pa pala wauks. kita naman sa lahat ng posts na same na e-encounter ng bayantel users. we all dont have problem surfing, playing other games aside from LU games, download is fast eveything is ok. please look into this matter kase its obvious wala sa side ng bayantel ang problema.


  45. i just talked with another supervisor from bayantel and I already gave them the URL for this blog so that they can see the official statement released by LU blaming bayantel for the dc. They say that they will take actions to clear their name and have also confirmed that they did not recieve any notice from LU about this. and wauks wag kang masyadong mahangin na parang minamaliit mo mga CSA … fyi im a CSA too.. may masama ba dun? para mo sinasabi na inde credible mga statements na nangagaling sa CSA .. kng credibility lang paguusapan eh kahit anong companya ata angat sa LU.

    anyways.. ive also confirmed this info by contacting bayantel’s DNOC.. its their IT dept.


  46. it’s easy for LevelUpGames to just pinpoint the fault to the other carrier, what proof do they have? Sana Wauks you have consulted the network engineers with BayanTel muna before saying that’s it’s their problem. Customer Service kausap mo eh.

    can you enlighten me on what kind of isolation has been made to point to BayanTel that the problem is with them? I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, unless you can back your claims that the problem is with them and if your proof is convincing.

    mas madali kase magturo kesa hanapin talaga kung san ang problema eh.

    In fairness to both parties, let them look under the hood to see what they can do…question is how long?

    But why BayanTel only, SmartBro dc ng dc din ah and this was not the case before the server merge and that map zone adjustments thing you did in two or three extended maintenance thereafter ^^

    Can’t you guys see that the problem is not with Bayantel rather its what you did during the maintenance that caused this?!?

    Pano ang 3x experience kung di lahat makikinabang. This is so unfair! Dapat mag 99 na yung stalker ko dahilsa 3x pero wala!

    It will take me another 2-3 weeks or regular non-exp para mag 99 ako
    dahil lang sa ginawa ninyong re-configuration ng server na PLDT lang ang nakakuha ng advantage.

    We need not explain to you why this is soooooo fishy na PLDT maayos at Bayantel hindi. omg
