One black hole that constantly sucks the money out of my bank account and my wallet is my love for gadgets. I’ve bought I-Pods and numerous cell phones and I really can’t remember anymore how much I’ve spent on ‘em already. Since this is technically a personal blog, I decided to spice things up a bit here at Waukster Online. I’ll be making two new sections/categories which will hopefully expand the content of the blog - Gadgets and Marketing.
Anyway, for this entry - I was surfing youtube for phone previews when I stumbled upon the NOKIA N95. Nokia is really staking a lot with their positioning for this phone. Their tag line is “It’s what computers have become”, which means that this is the most advanced form of phones which has major features of your PC. As a tech freak, I might agree. As I gamer - sorry but I don’t think the N95 can play World of Warcraft, Perfect World, or Ragnarok 2 (hehehe).
The ads highlight the following major features of phone:
1.) PC Features
2.) High Speed Internet
3.) Instant Photo Sharing
4.) GPS
5.) 5 megapixel Camera <- now this one is sexy (LOL)
6.) MP3 Player
7.) DVD Quality Video
8.) Video Streaming
9.) Wireless Music <- comes with a wireless headset?

NOTE: Some girl in this ad called the phone her magic box and magic maker… WTF?! Does it also double as a s*x toy? Hahaha!
You know the sad part? Since the crime rate here in the Philippines is a bit high, especially on cellphone theft, I’d really think twice on buying something this expensive. x.x Hayz. But still, I want.

iPhone na. LOL. Kaso it only has 8 gigs of memory, and that would downgrading from my 30GB one. Best to wait till future generations of that phone, it’ll probably be smaller, thinner, and with more storage :p
That N95 is really sweet though chief :D

I agree with ya on that one. Especially since Apple really is into the “Attack Yourself” strategy wherein in they keep making new products that eat up their old ones. I remember buying the small I-Pod shuffle because it was so cute, but then a new set of I-Pod shuffles come out in different colors. Wah. >.>

wireless music may not refer to wireless headset because you already have that with bluetooth headset. i think refers to internet radio which is the newly hyped feature in gadgets nowadays.

if it is from nokia, then it will go down in price quickly. But hey its somehow a slider phone and slider phones are way above in my lists. ^^V

I think it would be wise to wait for the price to go down a bit.
Or maybe opt to get a seocnd hand?
Slightly cheaper, but same phone overall.
I think I saw this phone in greenhills but not sure, there are too many N series phones now.
Cant distiguish.

Hey, kuya wauks! The N95 would be coming out in the middle of april and May. The iPhone is nice but the N95 is way cooler. ” Two thumbs up”
The iPhone would be coming out in June 2nd or 3rd week and would cost around 30 grand. The N95 would cost around 38-43K. It would be a lot cheaper if you order it in the states, but then again you have to pay for the tax and shipping fee. XD

Anyway, I’m going to buy the N95 when it comes out. Hopefully I saved enough by then. hehe. As for the Iphone, we’ll just have to wait and see if it will live up to all the hype.
