Gadgets: Nike Plus (IPOD)
MANILA, Philippines — Nike will launch a line of running shoes equipped with an in-shoe sensor that transfers data onto an iPod portable music player.
This is just insane. It started out with simple armbands that can carry your IPOD while you jog. Now, everyone is jumping in on the MP3/IPOD bandwagon. Nike just created a brand new shoe that exactly does that and more! >.<;
Well, based from the website tutorials, it’s pretty simple. First, only the IPOD Nano model will work with the shoe, so sorry to everyone who has shuffles and IPOD videos. You go on and buy the shoe, which will retail at around 5,000 PHP. You also have to buy the Nike Plus IPOD sports kit which will cost around 1,800 PHP. If you don’t have an IPOD Nano, it will probably cost you 9,000 PHP onwards. That’s a total damage of around 16,000 PHP, wah!
Anyway, setting the thing up is actually cool. You get the sensor which you get from the sportskit and you place it in a special holder in your shoe. It’s what tracks your speed, distance, time, pulse, and even calories burned. You then connect the reciever to your IPOD Nano and you will be able to see the data.
So will anyone here bother buying this thing? I won’t be surprised to see more gadgets in the future that will work together with IPODs.

nah.. i won’t even bother.. bihira lang naman kasi ako mag sapatos.. kung havaianas yan, baka pag isipan ko pa! pero teka, why would they connect an iPod to a pair of godlike-priced slippers anyway? lolz XD

diba dati may mp3 palyers na ang nike? yung bilog pa nga yun iirc. So does this mean that Nike has admitted that the IPOD is the king of MP3 players na?
Sony is another story, dapat yung PSP nila eh naging IPOD killer na, if only they let homebrew softwares grow and not limit it by releasing firmwares that cripple the Handhelds huge capabilities. (and im off topic… again… X_X)
