Gadgets: Microsoft’s Zune 2.0

Shortly after Apple unveiled their latest product line of iPods, Microsoft counters by releasing more information about their Zune 2.0. Zune is Microsoft’s brand for lifestyle portable MP3/Video Players. I’m not sure if it became a hit here in the Philippines but it’s still something to watch out for. Competition is always good because it forces all the players to be more innovative and creative. Competition is what fuels the drive for success, and it’s good that Microsoft is stepping up against Apple.

More after the jump.

The Microsoft Zune looks a lot like the iTouch. According to an article that I read on laptoplogic, the Zune 2.0 will have 80GB storage capacity. According to T3 UK, there’s also a chance that it might have Wi-Fi capabilities as well - again similar to the iTouch. It looks like Microsoft is gunning after the audience that Apple has successfully captivated with their products for the past few years. It will be interesting to see how this showdown will pan out in the months to come.

iTouch or Zune 2.0? Maybe when we get more information on the Zune 2.0 we can make a better decision.

  2. Aww plan ko pa nman bumili.. Guess ill wait for the new version nlng, pero Zune has a better video quality that Ipods.. ewan ko lng with the new versions

  3. Pero diba the first tune was already wifi enabled? Pero Microsoft bumbled on that feature and Apple capitalized on it sa new IPOD line nila.

Microsoft has good ideas, di lang nila ma implement ng maayos kaya sila natatalo. Not to mention they are really, really buggy!!!
