Gadgets keep getting smaller and smaller! That seems to be the trend for the IT industry. It’s a logical move since gadgets are becoming mainstream and being geeky can actually be cool (not too much though). Apple has recently launched an even smaller iPod with the new iPod Shuffle 3rd Generation (3G). Specs and price of the new iPod Shuffle 3G after the jump.
Pros:
- Better memory. Now at 4G! That’s more or less 1,000 songs.
- Smaller and cooler. Really small. I’m actually afraid I might misplace it somewhere.
- It talks. WTF. It dictates the name of the artist and the song.
Cons:
- A bit pricey at P4,190. Maybe if they took out the voice (which is useless) it would be cheaper?
- Control is now on the earphones. Which means no custom earphones.
I won’t buy this anytime soon. I’m still happy with my iPod Nano 3G

no custom earphones? thats b******* right there. i hate the tiny little default ipod earphones as they always seem to slip off my ears (i must have abnormal ears :heh: ) so i use the headband style earphones.
maybe they plan to market other voices :heh:
btw, being a geek is no longer having gadgets. the top brass geeks of apple has hooked the narrow mind of fashonitas everywhere with the ipod making owning gadgets cool and “in.” now the populars define geeks as people who love to know stuff that seem to have no real life application re: getting laid.

I think the voice is a necessity, because this iPod Shuffle can store large numbers of playlists — and the only way to choose between playlists is with the help of the voice.
It’s an interesting buy, but only for people with cash to spare. XD

the storage is only the good news. they should add a little LCD screen for the title of the song. my niece complains about it. she has to check it in the itunes pa.
