The key to quickly boost Brynhildr’s Gestalt meter is to buff yourself and to debuff him. Pretty simple. Once your HP becomes low just change Paradigms to the Synergist/Medic set-up and you should be fine. Every now and then switch to Ravager/Ravager to speed up the process. Once the bar is full, tap square and ta-da~! Sahz now has a kick ass car.

The sad part though is that most of the people who are complaining about Wi-Tribe’s capping system didn’t really read the service agreement. You guys are pretty much stuck with that for the next 2 years unless you pay their pre-termination thing.

Merong salesman iyang witribe malapit dito sa amin. To be specific, PC Mall in Brgy. Kapitolyo Pasig.

May laptop for testing. Nag test ako, not your usual “surfing” tests. I did network trace tests towards well known IP backbone providers in the SEA region and a few in the US.

Here is what I did:

Test 1: download a 100MB file from my own server colocated at he.net. Server has a 1gbps link, at less than1% utilization during my tests. WiTribe was averaging 40-70Kbps, or merely 320-560kbps on a 1mbps plan (as per salesman). I was skeptical as he.net has maultiple gbps links to LAIX, where a lot of PH ISPs connect to.

Test 2: I traced about 50 sites. A lot (around 95%) went through IP-converge. This is a subsidiary of IPVG, with a huge data center in RCBC plaza, Makati. Personally speaking, IP-converge has one of the most congested public IP backbone in the country. I hope I am wrong, as this is just based on personal experience.

From these simple tests, hindi ginagamit ni Liberty ang kanyang premium International bandwidth sa WiTribe. They’re forcing traffic of WiTribe users towards cheaper, more congested, huge latency LOCAL provider(s).

Siguro sa mga Filipinos who play Ragnarok, Ran Online etc… or those who frequent local Philippine / asian sites ok lang ito. Not for me. 99% of my traffic is destined for US networks. WiTribe is not for me.

Share ko lang ito. Baka makatulong sa inyong decision to get WiTribe.

BTW, if you frequent Facebook and Youtube, wag na kayong umasa sa WiTribe. These are primarily US networks.

Good thing I didn’t bother signing up for this one.

I recently bought an iPod Touch and the first app I bought and downloaded was Plants vs Zombies. As most of you know, this is a very popular game by Pop Cap. Millions of people all over the world are playing this simple yet engaging game on their PC’s and Macs.

Plants vs Zombies is very much like the popular Tower Defense which was popularized by Warcraft 3. You basically have to defend your house from hordes of zombies by planting special plants that have different zombie-killing powers. There are tons of plants to choose from. There are also mushrooms and even watermelons (which pack quite a punch). If you have an iPhone or an iPod Touch, I strongly recommend that you get this game on your mobile device. It’s so much fun to play and it’s a great way to pass the time (especially if you’re stick in Makati traffic or you’re waiting for your GF/wife.

Pre-Fight Tips
If you still have shrouds left, the first tip is that you use them (Fortisol and Aegisol). This will make life infinitely easier because you’ll be able to mitigate Odin’s damage and you’ll also be able to dish out damage faster. Another suggestion that I’d like to make is that you prepare the paradigms already. You’ll need the following: RAVAGER – RAVAGER, COMMANDO – MEDIC, and MEDIC – MEDIC.

Fight Tips
At the start, Odin will be on a warpath. After casting doom on Lightning, Odin will start to wipe the floor with you. Try to top your HP off by using a mix of potions and have Hope do the healing. Odin’s Gestalt meter goes up when you heal someone so it’s okay to have Hope concentrate on keeping himself alive.

When Odin does the area-effect damage attack, it might be a good idea to switch to the MEDIC – MEDIC paradigm. After topping off, go back to COMMANDO – MEDIC.

Eventually, Odin will go to a full defensive stance called Ultra Shield. This is your chance to build up Gestalt. Switch to RAVAGER – RAVAGER and bombard him with spells. When he goes back to his original stance, quickly switch back to COMMANDO – MEDIC or else you’ll get killed without a dedicated healer.

The trick here is the quick and timely switching of Paradigms. If you do it properly, Odin should be a goner and tamed in a few minutes.

Final Fantasy XIII Guide: How to Kill Odin

PROS
- Final Fantasy XIII has stunning graphics. From the animation to the background, everything is so detailed and it just comes to life especially if you’re playing on a big LCD TV. I’ve been playing it on a Samsung Series 5 32″ and it’s spectacular.
- Final Fantasy XIII has an equally impressive soundtrack. I’ve only played through a couple of chapters but I’m already itching to get me a copy of the OST! Simply amazing work here.
- Aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-use user interface. I love opening the menu. It’s great how Square made such a simple thing so amusing.
- I don’t know if everyone likes this but I’m loving the fast-paced real-time combat system.

CONS
- You can only play one character at a time. This is a big letdown for me. They try to redeem themselves by “automating” the experience by having you change roles of your comrades (via paradigms).
- Lousy camera angles and control. ‘Nuff said.
- Where’s the world map? I’ve been playing for a while now and I’ve yet to see the map.
- I’m not loving the story. It’s kinda boring.
- Too much emo with the characters. All the cut scenes are loaded with drama to the point that you’ll get annoyed with almost all of the characters, especially the main character: Lightning.
- It’s TOO LINEAR! It’s as if I’m watching a movie and not playing an RPG. It really doesn’t feel like FF at all.

Despite all my complaints, I’m still going to play and finish the game because this is still a Final Fantasy product, haha. I’m hoping that they redeem the game sometime in the middle so that after playing everything I won’t regret spending P2200+.

Popular cosplayer Ashley also tweeted her disappointment over what happened. The organizers should seriously do something about this because if I paid 10,000 and got moved to the back I would really throw a fit and demand not just for a refund – but additional stuff due to the hassle and stress.

Still thinking of buying one. Having doubts because I think I’d rather wait for the second generation device.
