  • Events: ROK’OMANIA 2007 Summary

    It’s 1:25 AM and I actually just got home. After the ROK’OMANIA event at Robinson’s Pioneer, I rushed to Greenbelt 3 to meet up with my girlfriend who was having a get-together with her blockmates from college. Anyway, I’m really tired and my body is literally aching everywhere so I’ll keep this post short. I’ll probably blog several posts tomorrow (Sunday) and I’ll talk about the Server Merge, Server Transfer, and the F2P topic. I’m also considering doing another HyperMart sneak peek. But before all that, lemme give everyone a summary of what happened today at ROK’OMANIA 2007!

    RPC GRUDGE MATCHES
    The main event lived to all our expectations and more. For what the technical shiat lacked, the action really made up for it. The first two teams to clash were Armageddon from Fenrir and Legion of Doom from Loki. The battle was intense! LOD kept on coming and they were always on the offensive, however Armageddon was able to outmaneuver them several times. Armageddon wiped LOD, 2-0.

    The second match was highly anticipated because it could have been a preview of what would happen this year! Sakray Server Champions – Method, decided to join and take on the Bozanian Beast Fighters from Baldur. Both guilds are really crowd favorites because of their skill in both PVP and in siege. However, the Bozanian warriors were able to win two matches straight.

    Guys, let me add a disclamier. All the teams that participated weren’t at 100% due to latency issues with the wireless network. It wouldn’t be fair to give all the credit to the winners because of the lag so we really can’t say without a shadw of a doubt who the better team was. However, we need to proclaim winners, hehe. Thanks so much to all the guilds who joined the grudge matches! The crowd loved every second of the show, even if the set-up time in between matches took more than 30 minutes to an hour. ~_~

    SUMO PORING
    This one was defintely a stellar side show! It was funny how some of the contestants used their weight and leverage to win very quickly. I talked with one of them and in turns out that he was actually an MMA (mixed martial arts) guy specializing in Judo and Jiu Jitsu. No wonder he was able to position himself well, hehe. 4 winners walked home with 2,000 pesos in cold hard cash. Congratulations guys!

    MEMORY OF RAGNAROK OST
    Sold-out within an hour or two. To all those who bought, please allow 2-3 weeks processing time before we can insert your headgear in-game. It’s going to take some time because the headgear is still being localized and we need to upload it into the live servers first.

    That’s it for now! I’ll post pictures tomorrow as well as more details on some of the stuff that happened. FYI: To all the PW Winners, I’ll give you guys an update tomorrow as well (Sunday). Cheers and good night everyone!

      Too bad I couldn’t come. Anyways I guess it was a success and most of the people seemed to enjoy it. Cant wait for what’s in-store for RO with the Hypermart Sneak Peak and F2P topic. ^_^

      issue ko sa Ticket Number : LC8T2 about name changing…pwede po ba ibahin ang pangalan ng Guild Master ? Negative kasi respond ng custumer service tapos luma pa na link sa server merge dinikit sa resolution….

      lastly, about game time transfer. nag file yung kapatid ko ng Ticket Number : U8RK6 last 17/05/2007 22:18 pm….kaso wla response hanggang ngayon…tapos file ulit cya ng ticket due to the announcement na pwede pala mag transfer, Ticket Number : L47KS….

      Sir Wauks! Ang hirap mag connect sa Baldur server.

      When I connect, everything seems fine, but when loading from character select to the map, it immediately disconnects me ang I can’t re-log-in for a few minutes.

      And now, it says “Failed to connect to server”. Is there some kind of maintenance I missed or somthin’?

      @all

      there is no way to find out if the items you bought are duped. the IT peeps would all probably just search the database for items with more than 1 serial number and hit delete. they wouldn’t even bother saving the original item since it has been duped. it means it is illegal in itself.

      so to sum it all up, this may be good for RO, but then again, it can be used as a tool by evil and corrupt ppl in LU to just simply erase anything they want and claim these items as duped.

      in other words, kung may kakaiba kang item na medyo malaki ang value…. wag ka na umasa!

      Ohh my. I think I made a mistake when I bought the OST. I bought 3 albums and when it came to the registration of names for the in-game item, I placed 1 account for the three headgears.

      Sir Wauks, tradeable po ba yung headgear? Wala kasi nakaindicate sa description. Waaa!!!!

      about dupe items sana boss at mini boss card nalang po wag nalang po sa overupgraded items dami nmn po bili ng ganyan e tapos lahat nawala pero yung mga dupers they still earn zeny by selling them right ? so unfair po nmn sa iba yung bili ng duped items since we have no idea if its duped or not please take consideration :sob2:

      i was there din wauks. if ever u remember seeing a near-6 feet tall, dark-skinned, semi-chubby guy with glasses in blue shirt and jeans, ako un! hahaha. sa dami ng tao bka may kapareho ako dun ng description! malas lng nga ako dun sa bunutan. 500 load dala ko 5 bunot ala swerte :heh: :sob:

      also be erased. Please be wisely with the elimination of duped items

      cause some rare items are really obtain through hard work.
