Level-up took the industry another step further by invading the place where people thought online gaming would never make it big… Boracay! Yes, you read that right! Level-up sent a team of people to hold a few events which included the Ragnarok Ragna Rally, FlyFF EB Marathon, and an internet cafe owner assembly/meeting which was hosted by our Sales Team. This blog series will be divided into three posts and I hope you guys enjoy the stories and pictures. Anyway, this first post is about the internet cafe owner assembly event. It was really surprising because Ben Colayco and Sheila Paul turned out to support the internet cafe assembly. Read on to see the pictures and kwento.
Close to a hundred internet cafe owners and players joined Level-up at the white sands of Boracay island. The party was held in front of Casa Pilar in Station 3, right in front of the beach. The atmosphere was really nice, especially with the candles and torches set-up in at the corners of the venue. The event started with welcome remarks from our Sales Director, Apol Dionglay. After the quick intro – attention turned to the buffet table as dinner was served.
The sales team then presented their plans for 2007, and an open forum followed afterwards. Internet Cafe owners were free to ask any question to the Brand Managers and bosses who attended the event. The marketing and GM people present were – Carlo Ople (RO Brand Manager), Blue Mangubat (RO Community Manager), Dino Tansioco (FlyFF Brand), Wudie Morales (FlyFF Community), GM Shiro (FlyFF), and GM Jibrelle (RO). They all took turns answering the questions of our guests.
However, the night was FAR from over. Level-up International President Ben Colayco extended an open invitation to everyone present for a round of drinks and food at Summer Place bar somewhere in Station 2. Sheila Paul, our COO, also made several announcements about the latest games that Level-up is releasing – Ragnarok Online 2 and Perfect World. The cafe owners and players were really happy to see the two big bosses of LU and they had dozens of pictures taken with them.
I don’t know anymore what time the party ended. When my eyes opened it was already morning and the team had one last lunch before leaving for Manila. If you check the picture above, you’ll see the FlyFF and RO Team sharing a lunch meal at the Casa Pilar restaurant.
By the way, I was really happy because my girlfriend was able to come along. I’ll post more pictures and stories about our time in Boracay during the last installment of this blog series. If you’re reading this Mich, thanks for coming with me! Wub j00. Hehe. :kis:
I’d have to say the event was a success! The cafe owners were really happy to see Level-up visit them. According to our sales people, some cafe owners from Bacolod and Iloilo actually flew in to be part of the wild beach party that Level-up threw just for them. The players from FlyFF and RO were also treated to various raffles and tournaments.
