My original intention of posting articles here on Waukster’s blog is to share with you guys some of the crazy character builds Waukeen and I think of during our rare YM chat sessions. The builds we think of are usually builds which would need a hefty amount of zeny and really rare stuff hence entitled “insane builds”. We wanted to share our builds to you so that you would have something to look upon and to dream of. Since a lot of readers here have requested a more affordable character build, I will post such builds every other week starting this Tuesday or Wednesday. For now, I’ll be filling up for Wauks while he is in Boracay. Now to the topic, shopping~!
Shopping at Prontera can be fun when you know how to look for bargains and observe price trends. I personally shop around Prontera 10-15 minutes everyday to keep myself updated on how much things cost. Some stuff change in value everyday while some would take a month before it appreciates or depreciates in value. So when is the right time to buy the item you have really wanted? Let us say you’ve been looking forward to having your own pair of Evil Ears but you are not sure if it is a good time to buy. Here are a few questions you should keep in mind when shopping.
Do I need it now?
Can I live without it for a few more days?
Would I find one at a cheaper price on another day/a weekend?
Remember these questions while shopping. Just don’t let these keep you from buying stuff you want. Remember you are not using real money here (unless you are dealing with the hypermart guy), so have fun shopping and enjoy your virtual money. ;)

well sometimes its good to shop midnight cause some people are half awake that they make mistakes while vending I bought a +7Detective Cap for 3.5m,Ice Pick for 60m I think they thought it was a swordbreaker and many other stuff I bought at crazy bargain $_$

sometimes i stay awake in the middle of the night because, ironically, during the day, a lot of people vend but i rarely see good deals. when at nighttime, even if only few people vend, those good deals most people don’t see because they’re asleep, are there. i think in my case it’s not a case of mistyping the price but rather finding the best deals during the most uncommon time of the day. weird yes but in my case, possible. ^_^

I think this blog needs more elaboration. And I feel those three questions if you just elaborate on one of them, will turn out to be the same (the questions).
And as far as this late night buying/shopping thing, it seems overrated. You won’t find too many rushed items late night.

i think sir wauks is sharing about his trend/style/beliefs about item shopping
something like
The questions I ask myself when i browse:
do i need it now (basic principle in market/economics of wants vs needs)
will it be a headgear ingredient on the next episode (and its uber cheap now)?
will it fall down in price in the next few weeks (because its a new headgear/item/fad/whatever) or
will there be an item drop change in the next episode (like what happened with mastelas kekeke)
is it commonly botted (and therefore will be available on 24/7 thus i can buy it later without worrying to find one on vend - like choosing to buy a +8 muff vs a killer mantis card, +8 muffs are very common)
and finally i ask myself if I am feeling lazy/unlucky or can I overupgrade it myself XD
i find it harder to find rarer stuffs on late night venders…
most late night venders are bot venders who vend the typical basic stuffs (muffs, blue-slim-fire-acid pots, shoes elus ori) compared to shopping during the day where i can find rarely vended crap like nightmare terror cards/heavenly robe)
kumbaga convinience store items ang bot vender wares, whereas may variety ang ware ng kaunti sa araw…

Oh just want to get my two cents in on the post. Not everyone is born a hustler in the market place. We have a lot of people who can find insights posts like this and I agree that you can find a lot of good deals late at night. You will also find good deals before siege coz most of the people are “awake” during that time.
I miss the old days (BETA) when I could trade a Fire Claymore for 2 MGs and an AW. Hehehe.

Ah. I remember that. Forgesmiths were very rich back then because of elemental claymores. That was why I made a blacksmith before ~_~; Harder than I thought though.

Dati kasi konti lang kami smiths - Raman, Kelvs, Success, Slugger, and myself. Forging then was so hard kasi ang mahal ng materials and wala pa mga nag bobot. pahirapan noon. Mga BS tambay sa culverts buying ng IRON ORE.
