RF Online, one of the most famous MMORPG’s in the Philippines, is finally getting it’s much awaited and deserved patch. I actually played RF for a while but stopped after a while because of work. I was able to reach level 43 as a Corite, haha. Anyway, RF Online: Novus Rising should be uploaded on the main servers very soon but you can now start downloading it as early as now. To all the RF Players, I know you’ve all been waiting for this. Hopefully the patch will fix all the previous bugs, hacks, and cheats that has plagued the game the past few months.

yup! The patch will be fixing a lot of things. Not to mention putting the level cap past 55 and now to 66! Cool!
I sure wish LU adds seeders to the torrent file. i’m at about 28% but my downloader says i still need more than a day to finish the download. @_@
and we players will soon finish downloading the new client but when will the new patch be applied? i hope we won’t need to wait until May for it.
The real question is: “will crime pay?”. I wish there was a way to take away:
>> Items (weapons, armor, elems) gained through cheat engine use
>> Items upgraded with duped gems
>> EXP gained through cheat engine use
>> EXP gained with items upgraded with duped gems
>> EXP gained by partying with dupers and cheat engine users
>> CPT gained through cheat engine use
>> CPT gained with the use of duped or dupe upgraded items
>> CPT gained by partying with dupers and cheat engine users
The solution is simple, I think:
MAKE STRONG/SPECIAL ITEMS EASY TO ACQUIRE,
thereby negating dupers advantages.
>> Change the drop rate of rare items to common. Make elems, armors, and weapons plentiful.
>> Drop the CPT loss/gain range to barely anything. That way, dupers have no satisfaction/reward for their crimes.
Of course, considering our previous experience in this game, I might as well be wishing for a white pony, with a glass castle to boot.
We’ll see. At least it will be fun to come home to Novus for awhile. For how long? We shall see. It’s good to be home.
