Community Concerns (Perfect World & Ragnarok)

Tomorrow is maintenance day for Philippine Ragnarok Online which means I’ll be doing the weekly update again. Before doing it though I wanted to get the pulse of the community - and I’m not just talking about Philippine Ragnarok Online. I also want to hear from the players of Perfect World who are reading this blog.

This post will act as a 1-day online open forum so I can hear from you guys directly. This is the perfect time to raise all of your concerns - be it negative or positive. I’ll collate everything and forward them to both the PW and RO teams respectively. I’ll do another post with the results/feedback I get from the teams afterwards.

Here are the ground rules for this post:

1. RESPECT. Constructive comments and suggestions only. There is no need to curse.
2. BE CLEAR. Explain your points well and be very brief and straight-to-the-point.
3. End your comment with stating what game you’re playing, what server, and if you want, you can include your character name and guild.

That’s about it. Please remember that I’ll be enforcing the COMMENT POLICY of the blog. You’re free to speak your mind but please do so in a civilized manner. Thanks everyone and I hope you all understand where I’m coming from.

  2. Regarding PW. sana magkaron na nang bagong patch, new contents etc. matagal tagal na rin walang bagong content ang PW.

    Dun sa post ni GM Tristan regarding cut mmorpgs. bakit nga ba patok na patok ang RO. di lang din dahil sa 1st mmorpg ito at di lang din dahil cute ito. pero dahil laging may new content which makes players keep playing. diba nakailang episodes nba ang RO. sana ganun din ang PW.

    anyway, same sentiment din sa akin. tinamad na rin akong maglaro ng PW dahil sa wala akong nakikitang bagong content na paparating. kung meron man, mga bagong fashion lang. hoping sana maging tulad din ito ng RO na every 3 to 4 months eh may bagong episodes.


  4. on Ragnarok during the stress test i experienced some lag like when i character select my account i frequently got dc but its ok now ^^


  5. Wauks, sana magbigay na ang LUG (or pRO Team) ng isang OFFICIAL statement regarding their plan on the dupe issue. Ilang buwan na kasi ang nakalipas mula noong nagkaron ng 1st massive wipe pero hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin malinaw sa mga players kung gaano pa ba karami ang natira at kung ano ang balak nila ng (the pRO team) gawin sa mga yon. In my case, marami na akong nabili na over-ups and mamahaling equips mula since June 2007. Ayokong mawalan na naman ng mga gamit.

    Other issues i’ve read in ragnaboards:
    *ung october fest cap daw po hindi pa rin naaalis.
    *i-eenable pa ba ang gtb card? if yes, when?
    *ano yung nakita kong screenie na lvl 133 bard? totoo ba yun o edited picture? /omg

  6. regarding Perfect World….
    kahit statement lang sana kung bakit ang tagal ng patch. nung umalis si asche parang wala na masyadong nagaasikaso sa mga players. since di pa kaya magrelease ng patch gawa ng gawa ng events ang gms which is ok sana kaya lang minsan di sulit sa players tapos ang tagal ng pagbigay nung mga prizes.

    regarding Ragnarok Online….
    yung selective dupe wipes sana di parin ata nangyayari. yung lag sa ro as usual ganun pa din.


  7. same issue for me regarding hypermart gears. ang hirap mag buy ng headgears sa hypermart coz kulang kulang ang description. pano naman namin malaman if trade-able or not. tas may mga headgears nasa box tas meron iba wala. parang anong use nun if parehas lang na di trade-able. ung hockey mask wala naman sa description and sa site if naka item lock or not tas nakaka deceive sha.. bibilin mo thinking na pwede pala i trade kasi wala naman ung item lock sa description/hindi ininform kaming mga customers tapos magulat ka nalang hindi pala pwede >_> pakiayos naman para well informed mga customers nyo. yun lang ty

  11. I have almost accepted the fact that Bots will always be around the pRO world so i won’t go on and beach about that.

    My only qualm about RO right now is the UNSIGHTLINESS of the Hypermart’s Format and the sprites. If you have edited the game as it is why isn’t anything visually pleasing done to it?. Whenever i see the one in Prontera, i can’t help but be irked at how this set-up looks a hell lot like a Private Server and it’s really taking a pinch out of my desire to continue playing.

    You could’ve just used one Valkyrie sprite, then if ever she is clicked on will asked somewhere along the lines of: “Which would you like to see?” and will give a player a choice if ever CONSUMABLES or EQUIPMENTS.

    And i totally abhor how un-inviting it is when i click on those Hypermart NPC’s with just “What would you like to do?” in it’s welcoming speech window. pRO’s team have served some flowery words on their reasons why something happens to a server and stuff (i.e. Why Thor became Valhalla) why isn’t this applied on something that people actually pay for?. I mean something like a welcome speech and some reminders upon clicking the Hypermart sprites would be much better flavor-wise and service-wise. You could even include the rules on those “speech windows”.

    This may sound a bit nitpicky, but seeing that the quality of the game hasn’t significantly improved i am finding ways to at enjoy the other parts of being in pRO.

    I dunno if it’s just in my internet connection but it’s very laggy on maps that is bot infested.


  14. (1)MYLU Reward Points. Please come up with a rewards system.

    (2)RPC Season. Will there be one this year? Or are we foolishly preparing supplies for it? Please announce something.

    (3)Hypermart. More useful items like the Gym pass. We’ll pay. NAME CHANGE scroll will be marketable as well. Just put a price tag that doesnt allow abuse on it. I heard it was possible in iRO to apply for name change and other stuff. I believe were just as important.

  16. Papa wauks! Regarding po sa Octoberfest Hat! Dba dapat wala na effect nung TAROT SKILL after ng month ng november… Gsto ko kc bumili kaso baka biglang mawala effect nun.

    yan lng po hehehe.. sna may nabibili pang reset ng perception para sa mga Star Gladiators.. pero malabo ata yun heheh..


  18. Hello po. Regarding PW… may we ask kung kelan po ang tentative date ng patch? We’ve already asked the GMs in the official forum, but apparently, they said they are totally in the dark about the new patch. Now, they no longer answer any query about it.


  19. For Perfect World Philippines the main problem is the PATCH. It almost 4 months delayed.


  20. One more thing Wauks, medyo mahirap na uli mag connect sa Valkyrie, pero hindi siya ung kasing hirap dati. Pero un nga.. medyo nadedelay ung paglogin namin. Last week ko pa to napapansin. Pansin ko rin lumala siya nung nag server stress test ang valk.


  21. To be specific sa dupe issue in baldur, ang dami nang nagkalat na valkyrie shield for 60-85m only (which is 200-250m before) at bloodied shackle ball for 400-500m (which is 1-2b before). Nakakadismaya na bumili ng rare equips ngaun sa baldur dahil after some months ay dodoble na naman ang total item count ng isang certain equipment - causing its price to drop significantly. Nung march, bumili ako ng valkyrie armor for 2.5b. Tapos, last month may nagbebenta na ng valkyrie armor sa auction for 1b /wtf

  22. Concerns for Perfect World PH

    We need the friggin patch~ that has been delayed and DELAYED !!

    solution for untranslated quest (yada yada yada) new Fashion, Mounts and most awaited Dusk Temple

    because of that dungeon being locked out…. We Cant Access the Upgraded Skills Because as of now to

    achieve that you need to hunt for books on that said dungeon ~__~ even the higher lvl weapons mat’s are there

    ~_~

    When will this one come? ~___~ im sick and tired of pw (because of no updates)


  23. Wauks, pls extend the 3x exp in baldur because its not enough compensation for our problems in baldur like

    1. guild bugzzzz
    2. most of the time malag
    3. map bugz
    4. all the complains of baldur players on the last few months

    I hope ma extend pa sya ng isang lingo… pero kung hindi thanks na din at kahit papano bumawi kayo sa mga problema namin, pero i hope sana ma extend pa.. at sana pati dupe mawala na para fair sa lahat… wauks gawan mo naman ng paraan para ma extend para dama namin na natutugunan nyo ang mga problem namin give us one more week or much better 1 month pa hehehe..


  24. PW main problem is patch. myPW server launched on November already has updates upto patch 12. phPW launched sometime August? only has patch 6 upto now. Ano ba problema bakit after more than 6 months wala pa ding pagbabago?

    Sa RO naman, wala na kasi we decided to quit this month. Sana naman hindi umabot na mapuno ang pasensya namin sa PW. Kung mag quit ako sa PW, hindi na talaga ako maglalaro sa games handled by LUG.

    “Selective Dupe Wipes
    This starts today. If the logs show you’ve been a very bad boy, then we will wipe your account. This will take some time to implement though since the GM Team will be manually hunting down and investigating the cheaters. This is the only way to do this right so we won’t make mistakes and affect innocent players. If you guys have any suspects, we would really appreciate it if you could file a ticket indicating the character name and the server. Just file it as a player misconduct case and our CS Team will take it from there.”

    any updates about this?

    1. Dupe problems still persistent in all servers, and Tyr in particular.

    2. GTB card STILL disabled after 2 years. Tayo lang ang official RO server na walang kuwenta ang GTB card. Paki-reactivate please.

    3. Hugel Mini Games. Why is this stil disabled? Dahil ba sa bot? Might as well outlaw bots sa buong commercial server, diba? Bakit sa race lang?

  29. Ask ko lang po tama bang i-summon ang player sa Nightmare Mode? Sabihin na nating suspected bot sya pero d ba dapat dinadala sila sa jail. At ask ko na rin kung bawal ba afk leveling?kasi alchemist ako at isa ako sa na-summon jan sa Nightmare PVP mode. Tatanong ko na rin kasi 1st time ko mag file ng ticket ganun ba talaga katagal yun? kasi na PM ko na kay MOD Nirvelli Sakray saka kay GM Anael pero 1 week na rin yung ticket hanggang ngayon wala pa ring reply.

  30. hmmmmmm saken wauks sana hindi lng headgears ang pdeng makakitaan ng fashion ng ragnarok characters sawa na ako sa tuxedo at santa suit eh dba pde nyu nmn gawing pati mga damit nila napapaltan im sure mas madami kau mahahakot na players nan….pero ok din ung mga promo lalu na ung x5 but give players more than they expect and im sure it will be good for both sides ^^ un lng salamat bow

  31. there’s are features on PW that on the first place are “IMPLEMENTED”

    but with the freakin “TRANSLATION BUG” the so called “DUSK TEMPLE” cant be accessed because its the fault

    of the Translators. “To Access it depends on the Quest Log” ~___~

    Sheez when will PW-PH Players Nightmare will end!

  32. Please do something about the dupe issue before it’s too late (or is it already too late?). The longer it is left unattended, the bigger the problem will be. Baka aabot na naman ang panahon na kailangan na ulit magserver-wide wipeout dahil sa sobrang dami ng dupes? /omg

    The dupe issue should be the RO team’s TOP PRIORITY. Forget about the events and promos for the meantime. We can temporarily live without them. Once the dupe problem will be resolved, everyone will treat it like it were a month long 5x exp/drop event and 90% off hypermart discount.

    About the Hypermart / Armory of the Gods
    Please separate them in to TABS. Similar to character and storage inventory (Consumable / Equips / Etc. )
    Rather than scrolling a very long list.


  34. Valhalla RO Issue

    First, thanks for opening Rachel Sanctuary

    Second, please start banning bottters. Kase yung mga bots na last month ko pa nakikita, hanggang ngayon ay gumagala pa rin, malapit na atang umilaw.

    Please release the names of all those banned bots sa RB. Yung tulad sa Thor kung saan may update lagi ng mga banned bots. Nafru-frustrate at naiinis ang mga players na panay ang report ng bots tapos nakikita pa rin nilang gumagala ang mga ito.

    RPC season is almost here and some guilds are resorting to bot taxers to get their ecalls and harvester bots to get supplies and pang-suweldo.

    Sana this time around ang talagang maging winner ng RPC ay yung di lumakas dahil sa bots.


  35. Actually wala na akong reklamo coz Valkyrie is a bit smoother than before (there are still some lags but it is lessened, no use ranting about it because your team did do their best and we appreciate that…)

    And the 5x stress test did for somw rather awkward disconnections (na may kasamang pagpapahirap sa pag-login; although hindi naman kasing grabe nung dati…)

    Siguro support ko na nga lang yung suggestion ng marami na i-organize yung hypermart and to give proper descriptions para sa items…

    Medyo nahirapan kasi akong mag-decide bumili ng Spirit Ring (for my Magnus Priest, 500 petot WTF…) kasi hindi clear yung instructions (trade-able ba, anu yung item na dapat i-combo para sumipa yung magnus…) kasi even the level-up site was not clear about it… I remember asking a question about this post:

    If worn with: Spiritual Exorcism Set and Clip of rosary, Magnus Exorcismus Damage +30%, +50% Heal damage on Undead monsters, SP recovery +9%
    10,000 Rok Pts.

    Medyo nabuwang ako dito kasi parang hindi ko yata maarok kung ano yung Spiritual Exorcism Set (ito ba yung exorcising ring?) And about the “Clip of Rosary” (ahahay anu yun?!?!)

    So yun lang, about the hypermart. About other concerns, I guess nasolusyonan na rin po siya kahit papaano…

    it would really BE cool if the sense lvl 1 could also be used in players.
    Able to see the hp/sp equips of the player
    its just a suggestion.

    kuya wauks! here are the suggestions/concerns that i have compilled for RO so far:

    1.) Valky log-in/Certain lags at seldom times :: after the server stress test, it has come to my (and my 2 bro’s) attention that the hard-time login problem is kinda back…there came 1 tym my bro was having a defenitely hard time logging in (it took 20 logins)…normal logins would now take around 2-8 times to get in..as for the lags, well, there is still a lag presence at small times. the latest lag i felt is when my priest was in gh when all of a sudden, everything went lllaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggs…it took around a minute or so for the servers to recover lost pings…the problem will defenitely not come from us because the internet DSL connection is working fine when these happens..

    2.) Duplicate items :: well, im not really a dupper or a victim of dupe but i think this needs more attention most esp. to the servers that were severely plagued while we were focusing on the valky/baldur disaster..(i think its tyr right guys?) ..anyway, i hope this gets resolved…many3 players are already at their toes to getting their characters extinct because of this…

    3.) Hypermart items :: promos seem fine and all. im just thinking if the pRO team are thinking something really helpful this time…say, a soul-link scroll or a sanctu scroll…how about headgears? well, if RO is supposed to be a cute game, why not create somthing cute this time yet very very helpful added stats?

    4.) Name change :: this one is a must have for players who never got the chance to name-change after server merge. (most especially the Chaos, Odin and Sarah players)(sarah ba un or lydia or iris??)…i hope you guys can find a way to deal wid this..

    5.) Baldur siege :: im not too xure of this but i think players are complaints about this still…any resolutions?

    6.) “Locked items” :: items that cannot be traded or deposited is a real problem most esp. when people wants to go rebirth..pls. fix this most especially the other old items that were “locked” to the inventory of the character for a long time..

    7.) BOTTERS :: hmmm, just make xure that the RO team will not mess up wid the servers again if they will implement a anti-bot fix…please lang deal with this..its killing not us but you guys

    8.) more promos :: i think more promotions should be made so that the game will be more enjoyable to all (and i quote “all”) players.

  44. Good Morning! Late na ako naka pag post due sa work tagal ko na nag wait sa Community Concern anyway sana mabigyan pa din to nang pansin.

    I’ll be posting some of my concern in question form para mas madali explain

    1. Darating pa po ba ang time na RO players won’t be worrying everytime they will be buying something either sa vending or auction hall? I’ve been planning to buy a lot of items and the list is getting longer already, I’ve seen Valk shield being vend for 58M, TG cards for 300M+, weapons carded with multiple boss cards for a very irresistible price [good bargain ba to or warning sign?]. And if ever I’ll buy this stuff, what guarantee do I have na pag nagka problem yun item/s mababawi ko yung resources[ di half lang ng zenny etc. etc.]?

    2. May gamit pa po ba yung Nokia Cellphones that was used sa event dati? And bakit yung ibang promo or event items still exist as of now kahit due date na? Di na po ninyo tinangal Octoberfest Cap pero yung santa beard natangal po ninyo yung def+5 /heh

    3. Bakit po yung Neo Weapons sa F2P lang? Kaya naman cguro ng mga players sa P2P na bumili nito, total may expiration naman.

    4. Yung mga mini games din bakit deactivated samantalang ang daming bot sa OBB quest, saka yung mga items na reward dami naman dupe.

    5. Bakit po ang Valk Server Free to Play [F2P] ang tawag at di Free to BOT [F2B], mismong GM na nag manage ng event naka tunganga sa mga bot kahit nasa harap na nya. Wag na lumayo sa Pront City pa lang kita mo na.

    6. Sa post ni Angel-Killer, ok po yung top-up bundle promo ninyo magandang reward system po to, eh yung points accumulated sa MyLU accnt may gamit pa ba?

    7. We need more good Hypermat items…… [slotted middle headgear asa pa ako]

    8. Maraming Salamat Po sa pag ayos ng WoE problems ng Baldur matino na po sya, Salamat din sa week long x3 at 1 day x5 exp mode.

    9. Sana mura lang yung geiger counter [sence headgear] saka sana may slooted version [ asa ulit ako]

    marami talaga. kung ndi sana nila pinabayaan ang mga “concerns” ng mga players of the two games, hindi sana dadami ng ganyan ang mga reklamo. kung noon pa lang ay nagbigay na sila ng oras para pakinggan ung mga problema ng mga players, ndi na sana aabot sa ganito /swt

    p.s. pakifollow up lang po yung dupe problem. it’s getting worse everyday lalo na sa baldur. dont wait for the time to come na kelangan na naman mag-massive wipe dahil sa sarili nyong (pRO team) kapabayaan.

  48. please implement character transfer for split accounts. it will be a year this may since the servers were merge and no update or news about it. i cannot enjoy and afford to load my split accounts.

    I don’t know if it’s related with the internet connection (I’m using Smart Bro) cause there is a constant 3-5 seconds LAG during WOE, even my guildmates (some are using PLDT DSL and Globe DSL) are experiencing such LAG and disconnections. Even when doing Character selection, it would end up getting disconnected from the server.

    Hope you can resolve the problems immediately!

    kelan po ang RPC? sna announce n po..

    lam ko dadating ung time n memerge ung 3 commercial servers dhl population ng freya is 1.7k lng ata (including bots), tyr 2k+(again including bots), baldur 2.5k(including bots) sna bago mngyari yan ausin n muna nla ung dupe problems..

    kawawa ung player n nka bili ng dupe, sna ung dupe maker nlng managot gya nila “you know who n gling chaos”

    babaan nyo din ung top up price, onti nlng kmi tpos my hypermart n.. sna ung 500 lod for 3months n ung 350 2mnths..

    add ko lang po yung na-notice ko sa Valhalla siege kagabi = not very good. The lag was unbearable ~ there were moments when me and my guildmates couldn’t move for several seconds (from 10 to 30 seconds), hindi na nga po makapag-pots kasi sa sobrang delay, pag galaw ulit ng character mo dead ka na. Hindi na po talaga masaya mag siege lalo na’t hindi maganda ang takbo ng laro. I hope hindi nyo ( Level Up ) nakakalimutan ang ibang servers kasi napansin ko valkyrie and baldur lang ang pinagtutuunan nyo ng pansin ngayon. Sorry if some of the comments were out of line but I’d just like to forward my concern kasi hindi lang naman po ako ang naapektuhan kundi ang lahat ng mga taga-Valhalla.

  67. wauks… update naman dyan tungkol sa patch ng PW.. tagal-tagal na ehh.. ung direct to the point kung bakit ang tagal.. sabihin nyo lang na wala kayong pambayad sa patch ok na sa amin yun at least inamin nyo..

    hopefully we can put a detailed description of the items that are sold in hypermart because people are spending real money aside from the load so i guess the ones who are buying items in hypermart deserve a lil bit more than just a sentence of what they’re gonna buy to be honest i am buying items in hypermart for some time now i started just a couple of weeks ago and ive spent almost 3k because after the server merge i lost most of my items and thats why i bought items in hyper mart i thought that these items can be traded . however its all good if its about security because these items cant be hacked.

    Carlo my issue might be dead however after losing hard earned zenny from the earlier days of ragnarok it took a couple of emails to somehow lose my interest in this game because not even a single zenny was returned after i lost my items for no reason it maybe dupe but i really dont know because i didnt open my account for almost a year back then the items ive lost costs 500m but now its almost 3b … anyway sorry if this is long .
