Bleach Anime Episode 233 is finally out. To those who haven’t been watching, we’re actually on a filler arc but it’s one of the more interesting plots that they’ve done for a filler gap. In this arc, the Zanpaktous were freed from the Shinigami and they’ve taken physical form. They’ve rebelled and a brutal fight is now on-going in Soul Society between the physical manifestations of the Zanpaktous and the Shinigami. In the previous ep, we saw Ichigo step in to save Rukia against the leader of the Zanpaktou rebellion – Muramasa. By the way, Muramasa really has a weird sense of style. Not only don’t I like his hair, his outfit is kinda too gay. The long fingers also make him look creepy, haha. Anyway, synopsis and review of Bleach 233 after the break.

Muramasa is able to draw out Zangetsu from Ichigo’s body. Zangetsu literally tears into Ichigo, sending him flying all over the place. However at one point in the battle, Ichigo sets his inner hollow free. The mask forms on his face and you can clearly see that Ichigo’s brain was under the control of the hollow. Ichigo then launches a brutal counter attack, pushing back both Muramasa and Zangetsu.

Ichigo does an almost full hollow transformation. The last time I saw him like this was when he was being trained by the Vizards. In his almost full form, Ichigo manages to “knock out” Zangetsu easily with a series of slashes followed by a quick but devastating Cero.

He then turns his attention to Muramasa. Before the hollow-Ichigo goes on a rampage, Ichigo manages to regain control and breaks the hollow transformation. Sad part here is that he’s powerless and he falls to the ground at the mercy of Muramasa. And that’s how Bleach 233 ended.

By the way, in the middle of the episode, Mayuri finds out that Muramasa was able to literally tear out the Zanpaktou from the Shinigami and has altered them in some way. He does more tests in hopes to finally find out what’s happening and how he can reverse it.
