In Bleach 244, we’re treated to an entire episode of senseless fighting and good old fashioned brutality. The Zanpaktou continue their fight against Ichigo and the other shinigami but just when it looks like the battle was already done for, my favorite Bleach character makes a sudden appearance – Zaraki Kenpachi. The 11th Squad Captain bursts into the battle, taking out Wabisuke in just one blow! Kenpachi decides to take on Byakuya but he’s stopped by Senbonzakura using Bankai. In what I consider to be one of the most insane demonstrations of raw power, Kenpachi blows away the attack using his reisatsu! He then releases a massive amount of energy, blowing everyone away so that he could have Kuchiki Byakuya all to himself.

On the other end of the battlefield, Yumichika Ayasegawa is fighting for his life against his Zanpaktou. He manages to break free from the reisatsu-sucking vines and mounts a valiant counter attack but it’s not really that effective since he’s already lost massive amounts of energy.

The energy explosion took a toll on Kepachi which considerably weakened him. Despite this, he goes on to battle Byakuya, nearly killing him with a brutal counterattack. Byakuya retaliates using Shikai but Zaraki manages to withstand the assault.

As for the others
Soifon initially fought three Zanpaktou but eventually ends up facing Suzumebachi one on one. Ichigo, on the other hand, continues his battle with Senbonzakura. Lastly Yumichika manages to defeat his opponent after forcing his Zanpaktou to use the released form. Yumichika makes a desperate gamble by binding the vines with a kidou spell and then moves in for the kill. Fortunately for him the gamble paid off.

Episode ends with Yumichika winning over his Zanpaktou and round 2 of Zaraki and Byakuya about to begin.

I seriously cannot wait for the next episode. I know that this is just a filler but I can’t help but be entertained each time Zaraki is in the spotlight!
