Bayonetta is one of the games that I’m really waiting for my PS3. I’ve read the reviews and watched the videos and it looks like it will be one hell of a hack and slash title that will rival the Devil May Cry franchise. The plot looks a bit complex but from what I’ve seen you play a witch who fights angels and another witch to get the power of creation. And your hair is a conduit to hell that can summon demons. LOL! Talk about an original concept right? This has WIN written all over it.

Created by SEGA, Bayonetta promises to be an epic adventure, especially for people who enjoy hack and slash titles. There are a lot of weapons to choose from and you can equip two weapons at a time which make for insane combos in battle.

This game is officially on my “MUST PLAY” list.

Sad to say, the PS3 port is way too inferior to the Xbox 360. After trying out the demo for the PS3, I can’t help noticing some frame rate hiccups and lots of screen tearing. Call it nitpicking or what have you, but that is what I saw. Then I went to read these bunch of articles and watched some videos reporting how much of a garbage the PS3 version of the game is. In addition to that, I’ve read that the full PS3 version of the game that has just been released doesn’t even have an HD install option which means there will be longer loading times since the game will be accessed from the disc all the time! At times like this, I wish I could afford to buy another console just to get the best experience out of some multiplatform games which won’t be released to the PC .
I, and some people, can only blame SEGA and Platinum Games for doing a poor port of a game that was specifically designed to run on the 360. In fairness to the game underneath all the tech issues, it was pretty fun to play. But I’m not yet convinced about buying the full copy of the inferior PS3 version of the game when its 360 counterpart costs about the same. I find it hard to support companies who obviously want my money but fail to deliver something worthy of it. Perhaps I’m being a fanboy, but that is only because I only own a PS3 at the moment. Whats the point of going multiplatform if you can’t give the similar, if not the same, support across different platforms. Theres just too much difference between the two versions!
Haha. I just have to let that one out.
