There’s a lot of discussion going on right now across various forums and fan sites of Bleach about the “deaths” of Dos Espada Barragan, and Tres Espada Halibel. Based on the previous issues, Halibel was encased in a ice prison by Hitsugaya’s ultimate technique. Barragan, on the other hand, was “blown to bits” by Soifon’s bazooka-like Bankai. Are they really dead? I mean, they had so much character development and for them to be defeated so abruptly is just plain too weird. Some thoughts on this after the break.
No Ultimate Technique?
Barragan and Halibel never really were able to show their true powers in battle. If you guys can remember, the previous Espada who fought really got a lot of air time and focus in the manga. Ulquiorra’s battle with Ichigo took a while before it finished. Same can be said with the other Espada who faced the Shinigami captains who invaded Hueco Mundo.
So far all we’ve seen from Barragan is his “Death Breath” and his cool giant axe. Halibel has only used a handful of minor attacks. I’m not really convinced that the writer would end their involvement in this entire thing just like that. My guess is that these guys will come back with a vengeance and literally pummel the Shinigami captains, forcing the Vizards to join in on the fight.
What happened to Espada 0 Yami?
A lot of people, including myself, are still wondering if Yami is really the strongest Espada at 0. If ever he is, then Ichigo and the gang have their hands full with the giant Arrancar.
There are so many angles that have yet to be tackled for Bleach. There’s already so much action going on but we even haven’t seen Aizen, Tousen, and Gin draw their weapons. Looks like the next 100 issues will be all about fighting and kicking each others’ ass, haha.

for others, this isnt surprising! as everyone saw or read Barragan was hit by a missile like attack of Soi Fon, if you think about it Barragan can release its ability in a circular way and us for Halibel, its as what hitsugaya said they are waiting for the same thing, but if hitsugaya made a mistake, like Halibel is waiting for hitsugaya to produce a large amount of Ice in the area to use against him. “What if ______”

I seriously doubt that the fight is over. Though I’d like to figure out what’s the deal between the Halibel and Barragan, how come they look so weak.
Or perhaps there are others things to look out for. :gg:

im thinking the same too, that vizards will appear to join the fight after those captains cant handle anymore, as i thought about the last appearance of vizards, which of their story, it ends with a picture of all of them going out in a huge front of gate (like they are going out from their hidden base), and im thinking of it to kick those espadas out as the final resort of story. =)

not to mention since espada #8 is down. i think nell might have her old form back and join the fighting
